Smitty's Restaurant & Lounge - Leduc

I wanted to like this place but sadly, if you are under the age of 85 it really isnt a welcoming or nice place to be.

I would not call this place family friendly at all. While waiting in the line for over 15 minutes on a saturday morning, I was harassed by an awful, grouchy old woman. Staff never checked on the lineup for a table once in that 15 minutes.

I went with my husband and toddler and we tried to enjoy breakfast but received cold stares from every senior citizen in the restaurant the entire time. It was extremely uncomfortable.

Food was mediocre at best. Very bland. When I ordered pancakes, I received a rameken of sour cream instead of whipped cream.

The atmosphere is cold, dark and Grey. Many other fun spots in leduc to try. Not worth the money or time.

My girlfriend and I just had a terrible experience I won’t go back to this Smitty’s as Our server was rushing us out we requested our free apple crumble with ice cream she told we had to separate our bill to both get one ok so fine we did that. then acts like we didn’t order it ignored us for a bit and start to clean tables so I speak up and ask tells them we wanted our dessert she’s telling us it going to be awhile it needs to baked pretty rude she wanted us to leave it seems I think at this point so to avoid her I asked for it to go gives us the largest bag we only got one and no ice cream

I usually enjoy coming to this restaurant regularly the, meals are decent and it’s been one of my regular spots. However, during one of my last visit, I felt a bit unwelcome by the staff. I might be wrong, but the atmosphere made me feel like I wasn’t wanted there, which was disappointing.

I also had an issue with a buy one, get one free promo. My daughter couldn’t make it, so I asked to take the second meal to her dance class, but I was told I had to pay for both meals. It felt unfair, especially since the promo didn’t specify that both meals had to be eaten on-site. I hope management can be a bit more flexible and warm with loyal customers in the future.

I had the Big Country Breakfast, wife had the Two Egg Breakfast. Service was good and quick. Food is great. The restaurant could use an update to the interior.

All was good when I arrived. Then the service got less and less as the meal went on. When we went to pay I stepped into the washroom while the rest of the party stood at the front to pay. The server was just coming out when I came out again. There were two servers on and only aboit 11 customers in the restaurant

If I could give zero stars I would, this place doesn’t even deserve one star. I was in there a few months ago and the atmosphere was overall depressing. Who I amused is the owner was very disrespectful to the servers, which made the experience uncomfortable. I felt bad for our young waitress she was amazing. The food wasn’t good, and I could hear the kitchen staff yelling and arguing through the wall.

I gave this place a chance once more this past few weeks, I must say it has not changed other then some different server, which I must say the old workers were a lot better, the only thing that has changed is service has just gotten worse.

I can’t express enough, that we have decided to boycott due to the manger or owner. He does not keep up with the place nor, treat his staff with respect.
