Incredible food. Great beef and goat options with tons of flavor, big portions, served with bread, teff sourdough, and simple salads. Ordering was intimidating but the extremely friendly man behind the counter helped me get the good stuff. (Hint: it's #9 and #13.)
Also the place to go for an herbal hookah/shisha experience.

A newcomer to the Lethbridge dining scene, the Afro Habesha lounge located in north Lethbridge serves Eritrean food. It is fantastic. It's only been open a few months so the menu is limited and they seem to still be finding their feet service wise, but the flavours and quality are incredible. If you have never tried Ethiopian or Eritrean food but are curious:- the dishes are served family style, and are meant to be shared, like at Chinese restaurants- they are served in the traditional manner, which means on top of the flatbread (injera) so there are no utensils. You tear off pieces of bread and use it to pinch the meat/stew/salad and eat with your fingers- if you don't usually bring wet wipes in your purse with you, consider bringing them :)- we didn't ask for utensils, but I imagine they could bring some if asked. If you don't want to do that but are worried about the food-pinching, throw a spork in your purse too- as we are not well practiced at this eating method, we were a bit messy and inefficient (at least I was) but they were very nice to us anyway- you can ask for a milder spice level if you are like me and have to take a pepcid whenever you have something even a bit flavorful :D- it's a bit of an adventure if you've never tried it before, but VERY rewarding!

We had a great dinner here! We ordered the Chacha and Shiro and loved both. The Chacha was cooked perfectly and so flavourful. The portions were large so we’re looking forward to a tasty lunch tomorrow!

Vegetarian options: The Shiro was a very tasty chickpea dish! The avocado salad and injeera were great accompaniments.
