This food is fantastic and this place needs more attention. Real breaded chicken and real waffles. It's so tasty and if you ask they even give you a quick education on how to enjoy the sauces they give you.

I am traveling on my motorcycle from SK to BC. Got to hotel after long day of travel and absolutely starving. Google had too many options so I looked outside and lo and behold across the street is a fried chicken place, sounds good I thought.. I couldn't have made a better choice, well worth the wait for freshly made, locally sourced fried chicken. Had a great chat with the owner? While I waited. I swear this is the best fried chicken I have ever had, and with hand cut locally sourced fries... OMG, made my day!

What a find! This place should be the definition of a 'hole in the wall' restaurant. I do inspection work which takes me all over the province. I was needing some lunch before heading out of town. Managed to catch the sign for Birdys and thought to give it a try. The chicken was tender and 'oh so flavourful '. The coating had a solid crunch to it as well. Surprisingly, the combination of the syrup and Sriracha mayo added a whole lot of depth to each bite.Next time I'm in Lethbridge ill be trying something else off the menu.

Unfortunately did not get the experience of eating in the restaurant as we got takeout but WOW. You have NOT had chicken and waffles until you have had Birdy’s. Fluffy waffles under the crispiest, juiciest chicken you have ever had. Coleslaw and aioli brings it all together. Eat here!

I ordered the chicken and waffle! The chicken had the perfect crunch, seasoning, juiciness without too overpowering. Combined with the crisp and chewiness of the waffle with maple syrup, it’s a playful rhythm in your mouth.I had the chance to take to the owner and all ingredients are sourced locally and prepared as you order.This is definitely a place to visit whenever in Lethbridge! My only regret is I didnt order the 4pc one!

They’re good for the most part. Their chicken strips and fries ARE TO DIE FOR!! Absolutely love them. Last time we order deep fried pickle chips but they weren’t cooked all the way so they were pretty gross. They’re also pretty chinsy on their house sauce, they only give like 1 teaspoon and if you ask for more they will charge you. That’s the only thing I dislike about this place. But overall the food is pretty good here.

Waffles are also fantastic - fluffy and crispy, although I personally prefer having my syrup on the side to keep it as crispy as possible. Coleslaw is also fresh, crunchy, and delicate. Just the right amount of creaminess without feeling too heavy.The simple menu keeps things basic and focuses on proper frying and seasoning, so you'll definitely get your money's worth. These folks really know how to fry up some tasty chicken, so I'll be looking forward to visiting again. Thanks for the delicious food!!

We came in after reading a good review, and yes, the chicken and waffles were perfection. The chicken was well seasoned and breaded and was perfectly cooked - it was juicy, and fresh. The waffle was fantastic - fluffy and delicious. The coleslaw was also very tasty and fresh. I would not hesitate to come again!

Let me start by saying Birdy has THE best chicken and waffles I have had in my life, and that is not an understatement. It is fresh, perfectly breaded in house, crispy and delicious. We had the new “Inflation Sandwiches” for students, which are only 3.99 a piece and super filling paired with excellent fries that fast food joints can only attempt to recreate. I also shared a 4 piece tenders and waffle between three of us, which of course was spectacular. I will certainly be a long time customer!

Hard to get fried chicken in southern Alberta that isn't an American run chain, pumping out mass produced garbage. The food here is honest to goodness top dollar, I'd recommend the sandwich menu, but every other thing I've tried has been a home run too. Give yourself some spare time to get your food, since it's made to order. Cheers.

I was THE ONLY customer in the restaurant on a cold blizzard-like Monday afternoon. I ordered 2pc chicken & waffles (even though the price was hyper-inflated at $17 .. it had been years since I ate chicken & waffles was craving it so bad so I bit the bullet with the price) , the man at the register told me to take a seat and I waited about 20-25 for my entree to be ready! If you plan on coming here, make sure you have a whole lot of patience and time to waste. The waffle was served with a drumstick and wing of chicken. I ate the wing first and it was alight .. but once I got to the drumstick cut it open I saw the inside was filled with this purple-colored dried up blood inside of it. It was like a paste. I disgusted me so much I had to stop eating altogether.
