I'm giving an five-star review to reflect on my graditude at the Onion:

After three months of my absence, I would never forget the time I had an marvelous experience here. The good food, prices and atmosphere always makes me feel more satisfied and enjoyable. It's a shame that I'm not in Lethbridge anymore. I'm wondering what it's like now. I'm sure it wasn't that easy when I moved back to Calgary. I felt a bit regret leaving the Onion. Even though I have an special interest in mechanics. On the other hand, the staff and management are very compassionate and polite. I had no idea how impressed I was when I first came here. I never met such a great fellowship in my life. I highly recommend this place to anyone that like good deals in Lethbridge. I've also never been into an atmosphere with excellent choices to choose from. I miss this place very much and all the fun times I had for the past year. Hopefully to return soon?.

The food was over cooked and came out barely warm , the waitress was terrible and sloppy looking, won't go again.

We always take a gang here quite late in the evenings and the staff treats us so well! We get fed real well and feel like we’re loved.

5 stars across the board!
We came down to Lethbridge to pick up a Marketplace find, the person we were buying an item from suggest the Onion when we asked for a good place for lunch.
We were not disappointed!
The service, fantastic, the food phenomenal, the lounge was clean and welcoming.
We will definitely drive down from High River for lunch again sometime!

Best deep fried mushrooms I've had in a long time. I Had them a few months ago and couldn't stop thinking about them. Then I had the opportunity to visit again on Friday ordered a batch and just as amazing as the 1st time!! Wonderfu and great service as well.
10/10 recommend this gem of a restaurant and place to hangout on the Northside!

What a delightful find!

On vacation here from southwestern Ontario, and I have only one thing to say to the fine folks here in Lethbridge: what the heck, guys? A place with food THAT good, at THAT price, with great service, and it's not even packed on a Saturday night? Something wrong with y'all.

I had the beef dip, it was incredible. I'm told the beef burrito was delightful, and that the Philly was just as good as mine. I don't believe them about the Philly, it looked even better. Somehow. If there was a place selling food like this back home, I'd be hard pressed to even get a table.

Anyways, will be back the next time I'm in town. I'd be mad not to.

Parking: There's about a billion spots right in front.

Kid-friendliness: There's a kids menu, but we ordered off the adult for ours but asked to not have certain toppings, which they followed exactly and he loved it.

This has been one of my fav places since moving here 13 years ago! Food is affordable and always yummy! My kid loves the booths up top. The staff are typically good, and the overall appearance is good. In good condition, like no gross ratty carpets, tables are not chipped or stained booths don't have holes etc. Probably go a couple times a month.

I did give 1 star as my companions meal beef dip was good & his draught Corona was Corona. My first time after living here 13+ years and very disappointed. I ordered cauliflower bites, over cooked tiny little pieces not even the whole bud, could hardly jab with fork. Ordered a small salad, it was sooo small for the price l paid. I ate both as l was hungry. Had 2 Gin & Tonic it was G&T. Server was prompt but not friendly, appeared to me she didn't want to be there. I don't know why l left 15% Tip. Never again will l go to this place. So many other great places l have ate at in this city and never once felt compelled to leave a bad review, reason l have is because for the price l would not recommend The Onion to anyone l know. Another friend had told me they hadn't been in awhile even though they live close by but the food is average they said. Surprise mine wasn't average it was worse.
