Our family has been going to this Shanghai for years!!! It’s our favorite place for Chinese food. The dishes are rich in flavour and the batter on shrimp and chicken is so yum 😋!!

I ordered from the 'original' Shanghai Chop House yesterday. The chicken balls, deep fried wontons, and dry rips were all overcooked and the ribs barley had any meat. The chicken fried rice was crunchy and flavourless. The chow mien was cold.
I called to speak with someone and was told there is no manager available and I would receive a call back. Nothing. I called back the following day and was told again there is no manager and would receive a call back, still nothing.
I spent $80 on a meal that was not consumable. Lesson learned, never again.

Ordered fried rice and ginger beef dishes to go with our homemade eggrolls. The fried rice was so dry it almost crunched. I swear they packed up yesterday's rice. Over $20 for that. It was inedible. I've had several bad orders from here and I'm done. Expensive crap.

I grew up in Lethbridge and would eat here with my parents when I was a kid. But this was always one of my favorite places to eat. Now that I'm older and have kids of my own, I take them here every time I am in Lethbridge. (I live near Calgary now)
The food is still how I remember it. Delicious and the portion sizes they give you are very generous. The food itself reason enough to keep me coming back. But where this restaurant really shines is the service! Mike the Manager, came out personally to check on how things were and really made my family and me feel taken care of.
I will continue to support this business every chance I get and encourage anyone reading to do the same.

We ordered delivery. Egg rolls were so soggy and not very good at all. The rice, chicken balls and chow mein were very good. The beef and broccoli was probably the best we've had, but the portion....How do they even send that out? It was in the smallest sauce container and just over half full!! Unfortunate. This is a restaurant we would have gone back to, but when they send a portion like that, its unacceptable. $70 for a 2 person meal - Not worth it.

Very friendly staff and amazing food. Traveled from Springville Utah just to try this place due to recommendations from family and it did not disappoint. The whole staff was awesome! Mike the manager was extremely welcoming and made us feel at home.

With the abrupt loss of my Father this week dinner at the Shanghai with my wife and mom was one bright spot during a very emotionally trying time. Our server was stellar and in particular the manager who went above and beyond to make our dining experience even more memorable! His unbelievable act of kindness and understanding will not soon be forgotten! He’s definitely a prince among men! Thank you so much! 🙏

The place is sort of a hidden gem. Looks small from the outside but honestly very spacious and welcoming. Our server was phenomenal! He was doing double duty as a cook and serving and was amazing. He was still able to check on us and was very fast. Food was pretty good! Best deep fried shrimp we have ever had. Also prices were vwry reasonable! 4 dishes under $50. We should be back!
