The Duke Pub & Grill

As someone who has come here for 4ish years, tonight takes the cake as the worst night in here, and there have been some bad ones. Came in on Nov 19,2025 at 9:15pm for wing Wednesday and a beer. Sat solo at the bar, 1 couple and 1 other guy at the bar. 1 bartender and 2 servers between 2 pool tables and 4 other tables. Took 15mins to get a drink order as Jude the bartender was “going to the back to have dinner” when I got there. Which sure, but why not have one of the other 2 servers cover him? As he comes back, finally I get a drink and a menu, and get to order. Wings were as average as you expect for 0.79$ per so I guess no complaint there but still as mid as you get. But, after I finished I sat for 40mins at the bar while Jude chatted to his friends (the couple from earlier) while I could not get his attention to pay or order another drink. I get it you wanna chat with your friends but when someone wants to clean a tab or order more, typically you take care of that then go back.
1.75h gone to barely get 1 drink and wings cause the service was that bad. Maybe try backstreet down the block, they can’t possibly be any worse.

Great affordable good , amazing specials , homemade soups good varieties of food , needs to expand the dessert menu , great servers and bartenders .

Not sure what Annett was expecting? Fairmont experience? What a clown. Anyhow the duke is a good spot with low key vibe awesome staff: Brandt, Francesca, Alyssa - great as always. Cheers.

A friend recommended the pasta salad. I stopped by after work to try it out.

The sign said “seat yourself” - so I did.

I left around ten minutes later, still hungry, without having been spoken to or served by anybody.

It was not busy.

Food is always fresh and tasty at The Duke. They come up with new interesting, and delicious combinations all the time. Lunch specials are always great. Kieran is personable and wanting everyone to have a great taste experience. Luigi is a wonderful chef.

We were told to go here for the wings, but they were just mediocre. The garlic pickle pizza was unique. But the deep fried mars bar was the bomb. Tasted nothing like I thought it would. Not too sweet, but it was ooey gooey.. The service was incredible, I'd for sure return And try something different
