The Penny is almost always packed because of the incredible atmosphere and delicious food/drinks. I think The Penny has the best london fog in all of Lethbridge and their baked goods are an absolute treat! They usually have dairy free and gluten free options too which is handy.Dont show up expecting to get a table, but feel free to be pleasantly surprised if you get one. They seriously are one of the busiest coffee shops in Lethbridge (which just goes to show how great they are).Everyone loves The Penny!

You gotta check out The Penny if you're in Downtown Lethbridge! They've got amazing food, amazing coffee, and just the right vibe. And seriously, if you haven't had a taste of their pasta salad, you're totally missing out!

The food is always delicious and I love that they have daily specials for soup, sandwich, and drink. The coffee drinks are fantastic. The prices are reasonable and on par with other coffee shops. The service is great and I like the location if you want to spend some time downtown. They have the best pasta salad I've ever had, ever!

This was our first time here, and on arrival the staff were not at all friendly. We came inside and reviewed the menu and cabinet items. While we were doing this, I tried asking a fenale staff member behind the counter, about something on the menu, she just looked at me, turned and walked away. The rest of the staff were more interested in talking to each other rather than serving us, like we were an inconvenience. I ended up ordering the soup of the day which was carrot, potato and dill, it was a weird consistency sweet and inedible. It looked like something you find at the bottom of your sink after washing your dishes. The bread on the side, which we paid extra for was just that, a piece of bread with no butter or spread on the side. I had a slice of mixed berry pie for dessert and that was average at best, again no offer of whipped cream or ice cream even for an extra charge, which I would have paid for. My husband had a spicy grilled cheese sandwich, which he ate, but said it was below average at best. We had the largest coffees which were a good size, but no better than other coffee establishments in Lethbridge. The seating was worn and rubbed off making them look unappealing to sit on. The tables were sticky with the whole cafe and ambiance felt dirty and unclean. The whole place needs a refresh, new seating and just a really thorough cleaning. It wasn’t worth the $50 we paid, suffice to say we won’t be going back.

Barry white’s “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love, Babe” was playing while I was eating their coconut cream pie. Insane Combo and very well fitting. I would give this place 6 stars if I could.

I took my toddler and three month old here this morning for a coffee/lunch date after play time at the Family Center. From the moment we walked in (someone helped with the door both on the way in and out so I could get our big double stroller in!), there were nice people all around us.My toddler proceeded to find us a table, and as he was teetering on the edge of a chair, a very friendly employee came out and ensured he was stable so he wouldn’t fall!!Everyone was super friendly and accommodating, as it’s never easy taking out two little ones and being outnumbered. The food was also delicious- I had the portabello melt. What a great first impression. We will definitely be back!!

Great food and coffee, the customer service is great; specially some of the staff speaks Spanish, therefore that opens the possibilities for the community approaching.

I think this is my new favourite Lethbridge business/coffee shop. Their coffee is delicious and comes with a delicious little spice cookie. Their cinnamon buns are the perfect amount of sweet and chewy. Best of all was the amazing service from Danni. My only complaint is that their baked goods do not appear to be sold in larger quantities. I would have bought bags of those little spice cookies and could eat the cinnamon buns for days.Even the decor was comfortable and interesting (there is a beautiful world map on the ceiling). There was some people playing cribbage and some working/studying. It has a very “third place” feel to it. We will 100% be going there again!
