Whitbie's Fish and Chips, west side

We were looking for a classic British Pub style fish and chips and this restaurant was trying to do that.
We ordered a large platter of haddock and chips and coleslaw. The coleslaw was enjoyed by most of us. A little heavy on the mayo and large pieces of cabbage. But otherwise tasty. The fish was deep fried too long. No one was a fan of the tartar sauce. The batter was not great. 😔 The fries were just mediocre.
The service however was great. Friendly and welcoming faces for our family lunch out. We will continue to try and find a great fish and chip joint in Lethbridge. This place wa ok.

Very disappointed. Food was cold and we live 5 minutes away. I took one bite of my cod and threw it away. It was so fishy tasting, I questioned how fresh it was. I don't understand the ratings. Goodbye $50

Amazing food and service. I watched them make the food from scratch , even the fish batter! And the taste reflected the homemade efforts.
Portions are large too. For the price I thought they'd be smaller. We were surprised at the amount.

LOVE ME SOME HALIBUT! This establishment knows how to make some quality fish and chips and are not afraid to show it! If you have a craving for high quality fish and chips, then make sure you stop by!
They are friendly, caring, and just amazing people who try to remember customers by name. You can't help but feel welcomed here and your belly will not be empty!

Stopped by Whitbie's Fish N Chips for the first time to give them a try.
Well first thoughts are if you're looking for fish n chips this the spot.
Nice and friendly staff and helpful in the ordering process. The restaurant was fairly hot on the day i visited making it a little uncomfortable. My wife and I enjoyed our meals and left full.... As they gave us both an extra piece due to being small portion of fish. The batter nice an crispy and not soggy like some restaurant I've tried before. The coleslaw was nice and creamy it was also bonus to have that side option. Their Price's are reasonable for the amount of food you get. I would personally recommend trying Whitbie's out if your in the mood for Fish N Chips.

Best chippy in Western Canada. The fish is crisp, the chips are lovely. Served with all the proper fixings for a proper chippy. Would give 10 stars if I could. I've visited lots of great fish and chips restaurants, but this is the only chippy experience I've had in Canada. If you're looking for proper British fish and chips with the right chippy experience, look no further.

All it's missing is a cold D&B.

I'm at the moment eating in the restaurant. The fish and poutine is delicious. I love how the decor is in this place. I also just bought smoked salmon, English bacon, and chicken pot pie all from the freezer. Looks like it will be great. Very friendly people.

Love this place and always make it a point to try and get some when we’re in town. Food is great and the portions are perfect for me. Never walk away hungry and that says a lot nowa days. Also the staff is charismatic and even after being away for a year the owner still remembered me. Feels good thanks guys
