Whitbie's Fish and Chips, west side

Great stop on a Saturday afternoon. Resembles closely the fish and chips we had in London. The pollock is cheapest and has the least taste of fish. The cod is a thicker piece of fish and very mild fish flavor. The halibut is slightly fishy as expected but not overpowering. It may be hectic on a busy day, but today service was prompt and friendly for 5 of us.

This is one of my favourite lunch spots on the west side, hands down. It's the classics done right!! The fish is so crispy and tender, and you get a great portion of fries. It's super affordable as far as fish and chips goes, too. Give it a shot!

I went to Whitbys downtown and what a wonderful dinning experience. Awesome fish, amazing service covered with kindness. If you like fish & chips and haven't gone, you are truly missing out. When I'm back in lethbridge, I'm going back for sure.

Always love going to whitbie's since I moved from Scotland this is the closest scottish chip shop fish and chips ive found and if u want a game changer ask for you're chips to be upgraded to a poutine with curry sauce. Real scottish curry sauce Holy moly what a game changer thank you to the boys at whitbie's for always being so friendly and nice definitely recommend

Ordered a 2 piece pollock and chips + 2 fried black pudding to take back to my air bnb
Fish was cooked to perfection. Chips were lovely
I had the Fried black pudding the next day and it reheat well. Sooo yummy. I was so happy to see this on the menu
Now open a shop in Calgary please!! You would do amazing

It's indeed the best fish and chips around.
Tastes almost English, pun intended.
Everything from the fish and chips to the sides and sauces is really carefully done and the crew is really nice.
Will get there whenever around, worth the drive from fort MacLeod.

We were looking for a classic British Pub style fish and chips and this restaurant was trying to do that.
We ordered a large platter of haddock and chips and coleslaw. The coleslaw was enjoyed by most of us. A little heavy on the mayo and large pieces of cabbage. But otherwise tasty. The fish was deep fried too long. No one was a fan of the tartar sauce. The batter was not great. 😔 The fries were just mediocre.
The service however was great. Friendly and welcoming faces for our family lunch out. We will continue to try and find a great fish and chip joint in Lethbridge. This place wa ok.

Very disappointed. Food was cold and we live 5 minutes away. I took one bite of my cod and threw it away. It was so fishy tasting, I questioned how fresh it was. I don't understand the ratings. Goodbye $50
