Wooden Shoe European Food Store

Love this store. The deli meats are prepped up there. Does not have fillers in it. Great selection of food from Europe so we know they don’t have the Terrible ingredients in it line Canadian food does.

I searched all over fir sour cherries and finally found them here. Also bought a beautiful card and some chocolate. Great place to buy gifts but definitely pricey. Will try the sausage next time. Looks yummy.

My lunch was a hearty corned beef and cheese sandwich on Nordic bread for under $8 and a beverage.

Very cute shop with great eating areas inside and out. I’m going back for sausage and lunch again tomorrow. I have to see if they have coffee!

Ok I thought by what I heard the food would have been better. Perhaps an off day

Recently I was experienced with unsatisfactory service in bakery section, when tried to buy a bread. Staff grabbed the whole fresh bread as he stated with having no gloves on. With bare hands he touched other surfaces and again touched the bread where contaminations could potentially happened. As a customer I have no ideas whether they follow hygiene guidelines. I kindly asked him to put the gloves on, and he did it. I mentioned that to the manager and she seems like did not care much about it, stating that he put it later on isn’t enough?! She grabbed quickly the bread without apologizing and was acting inadequately saying that the food health department allows to staff not wearing the gloves, I could not believe in it! That’s being said , the manager herself don’t have a proper manner to communicate and admit the fact there is contamination of the consuming product was compromised. I noticed too other products remain on the shelves for a long time and the products are expired. Sorry, they lost me as a frequent customer. I’d recommend to drive to Coaldale bakery where you can buy way fresher products!

The food is amazing. The selection is wide and great. The people are super nice. The non food objects are wonderful, and the cake tastes so good. I recommend the cake because the cake is good for birthdays and special events. The fries are also good.

It's an understatement to say I love coming here, the meat, the cheese, and the bread are all absolutely excellent! 100% recommend shopping here if you're looking for some top quality bacon 😁

Best place in Lethbridge to get hard to find foods / reciept ingredients.

The cabbage rolls at the deli are the best in town, add a portion of sauerkraut (available at the deli), and they are just like grandma used to make.

The dried buffalo sausage is my fav and a must try. They also have various dried flavors, and if you're a BBQ or smoker fan, they have a great selection of uncooked sausages.

They also have an excellent selection of sweet treats and lunch options

A great selection of European packaged food items. Nostalgia unlocked. They also have an assortment of freshly locally made deli meats and bakery items. Cheeses, fresh churned butter, herring, smoked fish, premade meal items and more!

The deli is a nice place to get a quick bite.

We went for some pickles and naturally my wife had to get some cookies as well. But we found what we went for and it didn't break the bank..
