What an amazing restaurant!!. Fast, huge portions , and the flavors are incredible! When i had a piece of carrot in my vegetables it actually tasted like carrots! My hot and sour soup was the best ive had in a long time with all ingredients being fresh and full of color and bowl was practically a serving for 3!The mushroom beef in oyster sauce was incredible as well and soooo tasty.. Not over salty or mushy but crisp and tasty with many distinct flavors.. Had to take some home...
I walked in and was promptly served, I ordered a combo of chicken fried rice, beef and veggies, dry ribs and chicken balls, all were cooked very well and the serving was quite generous. It is a quaint place, well maintained and the owner was genuinely thankful that I enjoyed her food and smiled warmly for the tip she received. Being right off the trans-canada highway, I would definitely suggest a pitstop at the Sunflower Restaurant, you will be well fed and far from disappointed.
Stopped near the restaurant looking for a washroom. Not finding any we decided to go to the restaurant. After ordering drinks and deep fried wontons to snack on we used the washrooms. Although the restaurant was older it was clean and the service was quick. Soon we were back on the road.
