The experience was great, comfy chairs, lots of people! Highly recommend for a home style vibe.
The lasagna soup was very tasty and the Earl grey tea was great.
The view of the church from the cafe was really nice.

We love going to Higher Grounds. There is a wide choice of beverages and they are always served hot and delicious. My favourite is the London Fog. The food is so tasty and fresh. The homemade soups are always wonderful Everyone is friendly and there is a strong sense of community. We always feel welcome.

Went in to try an iced caramel latte on my way through town. And I love giving the mom and pop shop an opportunity. I was handed an iced caremel machiato (milk first and unmixed latte for those who don’t know) and asked why it wasn’t mixed. The boy turned to his coworker and asked his other coworker if it was supposed to be mixed and his coworker replied with how he assembled it. I would have accepted this and moved on but his comment of “we aren’t a Starbucks” is rather unnecessary. I tipped on a BURNT iced LATTE drink. That wasn’t even stirred. I’m not sure if this store has no idea what an iced latte is but it definitely is brown not while with a brown layer on top (that’s a CARAMEL MACHIATO). This business needs to train their staff to not react like children to a genuine question about how a drink is when it was made incorrectly. I am ashamed to have given a tip on this order. It was dumped out on the parking lot next to the truck I rode in because why would I bring it back in when the workers can not only not make it right but shame me for trying to support a local business? I will take my money else where

The carrot cake was really good. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. It was an overall good experience. I would recommend checking them out if visiting Morinville.
We have lived in Morinville now for just over a year. I have never been in this place in the past couple weeks before Christmas. I started going before work once I heard that they gave back to the community and they ran it through the church. I’ve decided that it’s better to come here thena publicly owned business. They’re amazing and all the volunteers do such hard work and the chef at higher grounds I would never go anywhere else. Thank you for such a welcoming service

Red “Lord of The Flame”
It was great! I had a slice of carrot cake, and I ordered a turkey sandwich to be made on a croissant, but it was mistakenly made with bread, was really looking forward to trying there croissant sandwiches, the chef noticed the mistake, and made me another on the correct sandwich material! I was not disappointed, both sandwiches were delicious, and the carrot cake was delightful, and it was quite a large portion, was pleasantly surprised! I've also been told the coffee here is excellent as well. The staff were very friendly and welcoming! I would recommend stopping in if you get the chance!
