Almira's Mediterranean Grill

We went there for lunch on Sunday 14th September 2025. Ordered Variety and Falafel Rice Plate. Both really favorable good portion sizes. The young man was very courteous and I highly recommend this place !

There was hair in my food, the workers don’t wear any hair nets. Chicken was dry and super overpriced for a small portion on a large shawarma. The sauce tasted sour. Not eating here ever again, be prepared to be disappointed and ripped off.

Stopped in on Sunday, Post Car Show, the young man that served us was really cool about us coming in shortly before closing! Was super polite, and affable. Food was taking to go even though he offered for us to stay. The wife and I both left saying how pleasant it was!

Finally tried out this local casual counter service eatery...should have donedo years ago! Everything made in house, super fresh, big portions, and tasty. The shish tawouk was especially good.

We're visiting Calgary on our Canadian vacation and found this place on Google and the reviews are so right. My husband and I dined in around 5pm tonight (July 20, 2025) and the young man welcomed us into the establishment making us feel really comfortable. Acknowledgement is gold. We're vegetarian and ordered the chickpea salad, falafel plate and spinach pie. The food is incredibly delicious made by the young man. We definitely recommend the food and ambiance was relaxing. The portions were large so we had to pack up half to take back to our hotel. Thank you for the outstanding customer service and food. 🍅

Just got back from Almira's. Best service from the 4 young people preparing food and serving. Ron and Daniel are family at front of house. Great job guys!! The food was excellent with large portions so definitely a great value. Highly recommend Almira's and look forward to returning there and would have no problem taking family and friends with us!!

This place has seriously gone down hill. They sold or passed it on to the next generation and it’s just terrible, they changed original wraps to a crunchy weird shell and with my just received order my large donair has all the ingredients but only in the bottom of the wrap, at the top it was just the bread twisted around itself. Will not be eating here again
