I finally found a yummy 😋 sugar-free ice cream option on the menu that It is so tasty! The place was beautiful 🏞️ and quiet, my family 👨👩👧👦 tried different flavors and they said they were yummy as well.

Ice cream is pretty delicious but it's quite pricey...service left a little to be desired :/ Wouldn't come here again if their ice cream sucked, it's good though for a okotoks evening activity when everything else is closed. [Cotton candy really good]

This is far the best Ice cream. I am never disappointed. The staff is friendly. I was even there during a hail storm and the let me and my kids step inside until the hail stopped. I live in south Calgary and will do the drive.

Cozy place, polite service, ice-cream flavors are yummy, only downside is that for some of the orders the ice-cream was served melting, I don't think they should serve it if doesn't have the proper consistency.
Had a great time here with some family when visiting in Okotoks. Their portion sizing seems pretty good for their pricing ! Forgot to take a photo right away, but here’s a photo nonetheless

Great place to take my girls. They always have more flavors than any place I've seen and the quality is amazing. Portions are fair. The area around the side and back are great for kids to eat without the worry of spilling in the vehicle.

A Fall from Grace.
Big Dipper once had the best ice cream experience in Okotoks. Unfortunately, it seems whoever owns or manages the place doesn't care to operate it and would prefer to leave the fate of the business in the hands of teenage staff members. I don't blame the kids who are working there (sometimes alone despite long lines) but it's clear they have no direction.
Most recently, I ordered a milkshake that had no additional scoop or whip cream (as they normally serve the exorbantly priced shakes) and only filled about 3/4 of the way. When I asked the staff member to remake/fix, he just shrugged and said it was too busy and they were almost out of milk. The next customer ordered a large shake and it was full to the top so it was clearly a lie to get out of remaking my order.
It's a shame this spot has become so terrible. I recommend avoiding and saving your wallets.

We’ve been going to the Big Dipper since O was a kid. It has historically been a great experience but has completely changed this year.
Their prices have increased a lot and with that has come really terrible service. I have been given the wrong flavour ice cream now 3 times, was told I had to purchase a cone for my kiddo after the associate made a mistake and put it in a cup, and paid $10 for a milkshake that was half full to be told “oh we ran out of milk so it’s not full”. Also just milkshake in a cup no scoop of ice cream on top and no whipped cream as it has been every other time we’ve gone. Seriously disappointing that whoever is running the show has let it get this out of hand. We’ve had some really disappointing experiences. If you charge premium prices you should definitely offer premium service.
