Browns Socialhouse Okotoks

First of all, our bartender Jenn was not only wonderful but kind and funny to talk too. I'll be coming back to the resturant for sure!!

Jenn made awesome drinks that tasted amazing. Tyce, the best expo, ran our food in a timely manner and made sure our gluten allergy was ran over by a manger on duty. Our server Annika was also very kind and hasty, making sure we were all satisfied with our food.

Went on the spur of the moment as we'd not been before. We had a trainee waitress who was absolutely incredible. Fish and chips were really good, one of the best I've had in awhile. Wasn't a fan of the key lime pie, but that's just my personal taste. We would definitely go back next time we are in Okotoks.

The food, service and ambiance are awesome. Our main complaint is that the kitchen was having issues with speed and our food was not served hot. We had to wait over 45 minutes for food to arrive and had to send the soup back twice for re-heat before they got it right. Fish and chips were good, but the fish wasn’t hot either. The Thai soup and lettuce wraps were spectacular and the Schezuan beef stir fry was awesome. The waitress (Jen) was superb and apologized for the delays and the cold food but made up for it with a free hot fudge brownie, which was amazing. The only other conundrum was a pub that doesn’t serve any dark beer, other than Guinness when there are dozens of fantastic micro-brews that have much better options. Overall, we enjoyed our visit very much and will definitely be back. One of the best pubs in Okotoks.

Went today after going to a different place first only to leave after being ignored for 20 minutes and we were glad we did

Popped in for lunch yesterday, greeted cheerfully at the door, seated at the table of our choice, temp inside was perfect not freezing as sometimes happens in restaurants, music not so loud you couldn’t hear each other talk, waitress lovely, ordered Kung Pao chicken lettuce wraps and the dynamite crunch roll..to share for two of us! it came quickly and both were absolutely delicious. Hot, flavourful and great portion sizes. It looked so good the table next to us ordered exactly the same thing. 😊 waitress checked back several times to see if we needed anything. We haven’t been regulars of Browns ( for no apparent reason) but yesterday changed that for us 👍🏻

Browns has gone down hill over the past year. This visit was horrible food and service. I used to love it here but this last visit was extremely disappointing. We showed up for a late dinner/ appetizers. The cauliflower bites were the worst of the dishes. We received the bottom of the bag pieces that should have just been discarded. They were so greasy and overcooked, it had zero flavor, tasted like mushy grease. Took forever for the waitress to come check on us. Requested water refills that never came, had to walk up to the bar with our empty glasses. Did get an apology at the end of the night but it was a little too late.

Steak was OK but service was amazing. Jenn and Elix served us quickly and efficiently and we didn’t have to wait long for our drinks / food.

I frequent Browns often and would recommend - especially if the service is always like this 🙌🏼
