I ordered a couple pizzas for takeout. Both pizzas were very tasty, the young lady at the till and the young man who brought out the pizzas were both very friendly.
The problem I had was that the debit machine has been set up in such a way to make it quite difficult to not leave a tip. Although the pizzas were great, they are not exactly inexpensive.
For whatever reason, tipping has changed significantly post Covid. Almost everyone seems to have a feeling of entitlement when it comes to tipping; and apparently the new minimum tip expected is 20%. When I’m paying $70 for two pizzas, it really leaves a sour taste when it felt as though I was being manipulated into giving a 20 or 25% tip on top- for pizzas I’m picking up.
If the expectation is a 20-25% tip for picking it up myself, how much is expected if I get delivery??

Terrible experience on Fri 31st at okotoks branch Total chaos ! Waited 2 hours for a pizza and they lost the order and could not do the cheesy bread so gave a poor quality replacement They were 40 orders behind . Staff said cancel order on the app if you want … but you cannot .. app won’t let you . Girl serving was arguing saying you can cancel on the app when it clearly states you cannot !!! I will pick up in high river next time

Got auto selected a 25% tip. Service was iffy at best, and food quality was poor. Wings floating in sauce that didn’t taste like what it was supposed to be, and extra charge for dip, that is clearly in the product photos. Much better service and food at Okotoks Pizza and Donair

Tried ordering online. Could not, so I phoned in. Tried ordering 3 personal pan pizzas the guy said it was crazy busy and they ran out. Like it’s crazy busy for personal pizzas lol. Come on man what’s going on here.

We've ordered a few times since moving to Okotoks and I am always SO impressed with how fast the service and delivery is. They always get my order right and it always tastes great. Bonus the delivery drivers are consistently so friendly and polite.
