A hidden gem in Okotoks! Great atmosphere, food is delicious, and the added bonus is that Sylvia takes the time to chat with her customers as she truly cares! Parking may be a challenge, but trust me, it is WELL WORTH your effort!

This place had the best Greek food I have ever had.The server was also extremely kind and easy to talk to.the only problem with the service and atmosphere was that 4 of us all arrived just as it opened so are food took awhile and they did not have music once we first arrived.however, over all if you are near by Okotoks, plaka tavern is a must stop restaurant.

Found this little gem in okotoks. Authentic Greek Cuisine at its finest. The atmosphere in this little quaint establishment is second to none. The service was prompt and extremely friendly. Would recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Not realizing that this restaurant changed hands 3 years ago my wife and I went there and were quite underwhelmed, food was a 3 out of 10 serving was there by owner,she seems to do everything herself, 176 dollars and I left hungry, won't return

We finally had the opportunity to try Plaka's new All Canadian Breakfast. The brunch menu has something for everyone, and the food and portions are spectacular.

We are very used to excellent Greek food and really looking forward to dinner. Kebab dinner had way too much of rice, baby carrots, one dry lemon potato but disappointed in Alberta Beef- over cooked and Dry. The owner was very friendly and we didn’t want to hurt her feelings but needs to step up her game.

Best breakfast ever!! Eggs benny is the best I ever tasted. Fresh tangy hollandaise sauce. Roasted potato hashbrowns are crispy on the outside and melty-mash greatness on the inside. Sylvia, the owner, cooks with care and love for each plateful of goodness. Thank you for the exceptional food and service for breakfast in Okotoks!!

Plaka is such an amazing place to eat with great staff and tasty food you want real Greek food I would go here again, the only reason I’m giving atmosphere a bit less stars is because there was a group of 10 adults who came in a 6pm who where very rude loud and swearing I felt so bad for the owner who was doing her best to keep them happy, but they must have just been the kind of people who complain to complain or want something cheaper, other then that a great night of food and great service would absolutely go again and tell people about it!

I don't normally write bad reviews, but this experience calls for it as a warning to others. We booked a table of 10 and arrived at 5:30 letting our server know that we had to to leave at 7:30. We didn't receive our food until 7:40. They were busy and seemed under staffed, and I get it, these things happen. But the reason I'm writing such a poor review is because of how the owner handled it. When we asked about our food she shot back every excuse in the book and acted like it was our fault for coming in when it was busy with a tight timeline (even though we communicated this in advance). When our meal was finally complete and we recived our bill at 8:15 (delayed again) the owner was shocked that we asked for a discount because of course none of this was her fault she's just simply understaffed. After arguing with her, she finally gave the entire table $50 off a bill that was close to $1,000. Much of our table has spent years in the service industry, and we have a TON of respect for restauarant owners and the industry as a whole being understaffed at the moment, but you have to communicate with your customers and accept responsibility for all poor experiences that happen under your roof and try to leave the customers feeling happy. This situation could've been easily mitigated with touching base with our table and letting us know that the kitchen was slow, comping the wine, providing free dessert or oozo, but instead voicing our opinions that we should receive any kind of compensation for what was an error on the restaurants part was met with hostility. This place has the opportunity to be better than this, please use this as an opportunity to grow.

We came to Plakas to try the new breakfast, it was phenomenal!! And It wasn’t Greek breakfast it was casual breakfast items, we had the Bennie’s and the two egg breakfast, the quality and value of the food was spectacular. The plates were full and everything was fresh! Thank you for the wonderful service as well. We are so excited to come back for breakfast!!

We had a wonderful experience at Plaka Greek Taverna last night with family. The atmosphere the food and the service were all amazing.Sylvie was very friendly and attentive to all our needs.The short drive from Calgary was worth the trip. We definitely will be back.
