Smitty's Restaurant & Lounge - Olds

We had breakfast at Smitty's in Olds with friends we had not seen in a long while. The waitress was immediately there with water. We took a little longer than usual to order and she politely waited for us to catch up. When we were ready to order, she was there. We each ordered and she nodded. She did not write anything down, even though we had some personal preferences and went onto the other customers. Our orders arrived promptly and correctly. The coffee cups were always full. A very good experience.

Buffet is not as good as it use to be, eggs dry and bacon was cooked so much it turned into tiny pieces. Won't go back unfortunately cause our service was great!

One word: Wonderful. Vanessa our server was outstanding as she was the lone person on and was very attentive, personable, kind and happy!!! Food was exceptional. Ordered a club on sourdough with a basket of fries... every bite was as expected. I was very satisfied. Not a fan of the smaller Julien fries that are normally offered as you do not get a true potato taste from them as you do with larger offerings, like say, crinkle cut. The smaller fry cut reminds me of Macdonald's fries, which are addictive, but have very little, potato in the center.

Im telling, this place has THE BEST breakfast buffet Ive ever seen. Even in high end restaurants a buffet can be questionable. This place had the crispiest (not burnt) real bacon, fluffy not soggy french toast amongst everything else. Great job guys!! And Brittny our server was very funny and friendly. Great work!

Stop in for breakfast on are way to Olds to work waitress was not nice at all. When she came to ask how is everything I told her my food was cold and she look at me as if I was lying... I don't understand why she didn't give a shit about eating cold food. Didn't do ANYTHING about it. Will never be back!!!

I think the service with the waitresses there is fantastic. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is the best. Would highly recommend it. And Saturday buffet is excellent.

Spent my entire life coming here Sunday mornings. Boy how Canada has changed. Servers are the same. Fantastic. Absolutely. But 58$ for 2 adults and a 3 year old with a coffee and a chocolate milk to drink. Feels like I could have done better at home is all. Feels great till you get the bill. Prayers times change soon.
