Great small town pub with no drama, just great people and cold beverages. Pool tables, pinball, juke box and a big screen for any sporting events.
If I could give this restaurant negative 5 stars I would. I tried to dine in for lunch with 2 other friends of mine. All 3 of us are not minors however because one of us couldn't provide ID we were asked to leave. We had noticed that the sign outside says miners allowed until 8pm regardless. I really don't understand why we were asked to leave and there's not very many options to eat in the small town.
Friendly staff, interesting decor, lots of food, poutine was yummy.
Great atmosphere, interior decor very interestingService was great, everyone friendly including other patronsThey had a meat draw on while we were thereReally liked our visit and meal.
Like how they allow kids, BUT yesterday they didn't have the kitchen open, so we had to leave why have a sign and say kids /family welcome and kitchen is closed. Parents enjoyed but my family husband and daughter will not come back.
Went for a drive to find a new place to eat. The Hub was awesome. Friendly staff and fun atmosphere. We had the Big Mick and Swiss mushroom burgers with fries and gravy. Wow!! The burgers were fantastic and the fries were deliciously crispy. Definitely will be back!
We stopped by for lunch. The place is very unique. We were greeted by two super friendly people. After they checked our Covid papers we sat down and ordered a drink while we looked at the menu. We ordered small portions and they arrived very quickly. The burger was so big I honestly had to cut it down into smaller bites. It was so delicious. Everything was excellent. We went to pay but the machine wasn’t working and the atm machine was on the blink as well. They said “Just pay the next time you come”. Who does that these days. I went to the nearest bank and withdrew money and went right back and paid. Excellent service.
At this time I can't comment on their food hence the 4 stars. I will say the ambience and the staff deserve a 5. All the trendy places have nothing on this pubs atmosphere. One could say it's retro, I say, it is what it is. Juke box, bar pool table, video game, and walls decorated with license plates of yesteryear. For some, this would be quite nostalgic. Covid has wreaked havoc on many small businesses, this pub has all the protocols in place to protect its patrons, take a trip out to Onoway, like we did, and support your rural local business.
Great food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. What more could you ask! I had the Hub bacon and cheese burger with fries and gravy. It was fantastic! The fries were nice and crispy and the gravy was the real deal. The burger was absolutely loaded, so it took a bit of work, but I was up for the task. Definitely give this place a try.
Not that good but at least they gave a discount on the ceasar salad.

Fantastic staff. Very respectful and great to talk with. Food is exceptional. Fish plate wonderful. Reasonable prices. Home made foods.
Great family owned and run hotel and pub. Ruth and Jeff are the best hosts and make amazing fish and chips! Support Local Business!
The Hub doesn't have huge signs but everyone knows where it is. I love the 1930's look inside. Children are allowed until 8 p.m. We weren't very hungry so just ordered a cheeseburger. No fries or anything. OMG there must have been a 1/2 lb of meat. It had to have been 5 inches high. There was no way to bite the whole thing. It was huge AND delicious. So glad we didnt order extra. It was the biggest burger I ever saw.
