Great food. This is much better sushi than most small towns in Alberta. I didn’t even dig into the Chinese menu because the sushi is good enough to keep me coming back for more.Parking: Angle parking at the front.

Meal was really good, dragon eye sushi is a kill for me, so good. Good customer service as well, friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible as there is just one step to get inside. Hopefully that would change in the future

Really awful food. Too greasy and rancid due to old cooking oil.

Not great. Had the fried squid and spareribs and you could tell their frying oil is old. Ginger beef was soggy and ketchupy.

Kita North is kind of a mash up between Japanese, Chinese and Western Cuisine. While lots of people may find this an odd mash up, it creates a one stop dining experience and is fairly common when it comes to small town westernized ethnic restaurants. It caters to those families and groups who can't decide or have a few more or less people who have a diversified palate (and I say that sparingly because of its geographical location).Kita North opened around the beginning of 2014 and has undergone some renovations (and a change of hands) from then till now. The inside decor is a bit more Japanese inspired and features photography from local photographer (cook and owner), Herbert Coles. The menu offers a fair-sized selection of Japanese, Chinese and Western cuisine. Basically, you can find anything from rolls and sashimi to chicken fingers. Kita also offers lunch time buffets and evening buffet (not 100% on all the days though). I particularly love that they have been able to bring good quality sushi to Peace River and diversify the dining experience. One of the best things about Kita though, aside from the food, is the staff. The staff always go out of their way to make us feel at home. The staff is so friendly and if you go enough, they start greeting you by name and often even remember your regular order. All around, Kita North has to be one of the best restaurants in Peace River. And just for fun, some of my favorite must try's include:Vermicelli soup (great for a cold day)Chicken Chow Mein

I was recommended this place by a family member as I had mentioned I would be in Peace River and was looking for a local place to try. Said family member is not one for bold flavour or trying new things so I did not have high expectations for this place to begin with and boy was I right.Very basic menu, standard small town “Chinese/western cuisine” restaurant. Was interesting to see so many sushi options on the menu, curious as to what a serving portion looked like for the prices they charged. I did happen to notice a poor review of it before I began mine. The aesthetic is banquet/buffet lay out. Not sure when they have buffet on but the buffet set up was out.guessing it’s always just out on the dining floor. Was there mid day, mid week and the place was empty. In the hour and half we were the I think 2 customers came to pick up. I did also notice the neighbouring chain pizza place had a lot of foot traffic which is a shame. There was 4 of us so we decided on a dinner for 4 combo(egg rolls, chicken balls, chow mien, ding dong beef, dry ribs, . We asked the usual question, can we substitute a dish? The lady told us, yes one substitute allowed. We collectively decided that we would like to sub the ding dong beef for ginger beef to which she told us there would be a $2.99 change?! But one substitution was allowed. We ordered a Wor wonton soup to start, very bland broth and I only found 2 shrimp in there, the wonton meat also lacked flavour. The dry ribs were over deep fried and mostly bones, the egg rolls was over battered, chicken balls had one little dice sized piece of chicken in all that dough and the sauces used in these dishes taste like the basic bulk ones from the grocer supplier.I’m sure this place has so much potential to do better and serve quality as the server and cook were very attentive.

One of the workers were really disrespectful and had to be told to get us menus, and acted like it was a chore to give us menus. Terrible. Just terrible, the food is okay.
