Stopped in for lunch with friends from out of town. They are from Calgary and were headed to Edmonton. We had an exceptional lunch and service. Definitely recommend this place and we will be back.

The Negative it was average taste nothing special, could have used more topping and a seasoning for flavor, crust was average but cooked ok.
Final thought 🤔 add some seasoning to the pizza. Oregano is cheap and little more topping.and it will rival other places your pizza is better than pizza pizza at the truck stop but lacks flavor quantity of topping of Pizza Stop

Decided we should try this restaurant and oh boy was that a mistake. Decided to try the appy platter to get a taste of everything. Quite possibly the worst chicken wing I have ever eaten. The rest of the appys were bland. Got a burger praying to the kitchen lords it wasn’t a frozen patty. Of course it was. Got the cheque and headed on with my life knowing I will never eat there again.

We have ordered fro Family Restaurant three times since the new owners. Every single time it is awful! This is the Petite Pallette...it is 50% fries that are over cooked and bottom of the bag tiny. Three onion rings. A "taquito" that isn't even cooked and bately anything inside...look and tastes and feels like they just dunked it in the oil. Didn't give me the sweet and sour sauce. Told me to pick up in 30mins...by the time I got home and opened it, everything including the gravy was cold(I live a block away and drove). The two chicken wings were very overcooked and dry so hard to eat. The deep fried pickle, yuck. The ONE mozza stick was undercooked and just grease. This is NOT worth $17-18! We also orderd a pizza that was cold and too much sauce barely any toppings. What a waste of money and how disappointing when there is soooo few options in town.
We tried twice when they first opened which absolutely sucked...we decided to wait to see if after they'd been running awhile it would be better, we will NOT be going back ever. I miss the chinese food and their pizza and how friendly the staff was. 0 stars and two thumbs down...boo👎👎

We ordered take out this evening for our family and I cannot say enough good things about it. We ordered steak and ribs and the kids got chicken tacos, pizza and wings. I highly recommend trying food from here. Steak was melt in your mouth and ribs fall off the bone. I will definitely be making the family Resturant my go to for takeout nights !!

The food has the most variety you can find in a small town like Penhold. Service is pretty efficient and fast for a Cooked Fresh meal.. their pizzas are quite amazing and taste delicious. Also had their quesadilla for my son's birthday. Very easy to please the whole family with such a variety.
