Truly the best restaurant you can find. The food is UNBELIEVABLE! We had appetizers as well, the dumplings and croquette, and I didn’t take a photo because I was way too excited to dig in. They go above and beyond. The service was exceptional and the lovely lady who works here offered to take our photo as we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary. You NEED to try their food!!

The Muscle Chef is literally worth going out of your way to try. I saw it on Google last night and didn’t really understand how it can have a perfect 5.0 star rating, but once you try their food and experience their kindness and hospitality, you realize this may be the best kept secret in Alberta.
I’ve been to South Korea many times so I’m very familiar with authentic Korean food and these wonderful folks are serving up pure and complex flavours with total finesse.
A friend of mine I went and we were both blown away!! Will be back 100%!

On the way back from work in Innisfail, I saw a review for this small little Korean restaurant in Penhold. I've had a fair share of Korean food all over, so I was already pleasantly surprised to see an authentic Korean restaurant in this corner of the world, a well rated one too! So I had to try it out, coming in with reserved expectations.
The sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew) honestly was quite amazing. The tofu was soft and smooth, the soup was well seasoned , umami tasting and not too spicy (though they pointed out to me they can definitely make it spicier if asked). The pickled daikon banchan / side dish was some of the best I've ever had. I wasn't super hungry before the meal, but if I was I would have definitely downed another bowl of rice with the soup. It really wasnt like some other restaurants I've went to where the spiciness just masked everything which I am very glad.
The gamja-jeon (potato pancake) was also quite exquisite. The sides were super crisp, and when you bit into a piece there was the crispy crunch of the potato mixed with cheesy goodness. The dipping sauce paired well. I wasn't expecting the sauce drizzle on top of the pancake which felt a bit extra but it was tasty nonetheless.
Portion sizes were pretty good for their cost, especially for being in a small town.
Overall, exceptional experience and beat all my expectations and reservations. Will come by again! Fighting!

They dont answer the phone. They barely speak English. They have horrible customer service. They have a tiny spot and cant put orders out in decent time. You better have alot of patience if you go here. Definetely don't waste your time driving from out of town like I did. Too bad some people have no idea how to do business and make money
