Food was good except the chicken In the soup/stew was very fatty. I wish they cleaned off the giggle fat. The rice portion was very small in comparison to the soup. The older waitress was so very nice! I wish they had an option to make mild chicken stew/soup.

I’m just gonna start off by talking about the owner . The heart he puts into greeting his customers is absolutely amazing . You can feel the vibes right after walking in . 10/10. 2nd is the food and pricing . 100 authentic Caribbean plates and sides and the price point is ban on from the amount of food you get . Hidden gem in red deer and being from ottawa this place is #1 highly recommended. Thanks Chubby 🇯🇲

Chubby Jerk BBQ is a great mom and pop shop! The jerk chicken is flavorful and pairs nicely with the well seasoned rice and beans, sweet plantains, and tasty fried bread. The Jamaican patty could use better filling and the mac & cheese was pretty standard.
The portions are excellent when it comes to price-to-food ratio. Customer service was excellent as well. Highly recommend to eat at!
