Cleopatras Famous Donair & Pita

The food is decent, but what I can not stand is the manager thinking it’s okay to rip into her staff in front of customers. The manager is rude, and completely ignorant of the customers around her. I will not be coming back, supporting a toxic work environment is not what i stand for. As a manager you need to be supportive and giving your staff constructive criticism to build their confidence up, not tearing them down and publicly humiliating them. I am not impressed.

Food is good but the service was horrendous. They forgot about us, forgot part of my order and were very dismissive. We were the only ones in the store so no excuses in my opinion. Seemed like the two lady’s were too occupied by chatting in the back then to give decent customer service.

So my wife and I get donairs on the regular. That being said there is no consistency in the donair. We have thought that we were getting screwed on the portion size we ordered one large and one jumbo donair on a few different occasions and the jumbo was not that. I paid $19 for the jumbo and it was the same weight and size as the large. It seems to happen when it’s just the young girls and often enough that we started going elsewhere. Every time when the owners/management isn’t their the young girls have the music so loud like it’s a dance hall or party spot not a restaurant. The fact that I pay for more than I’m getting makes this place less attractive to us. Won’t be back. It’s too bad cause we liked the owner.

Used to have the best donairs. Went there today. Was barley cooked. Cheese wasn't even melted. Outside wasn't grilled. Super soggy. Kinda sad. Loved this place

Service was really good. Food was meh.

My beef donair was warm at best, the garlic and sweet sauce was cold and it turned the inside extremely mushy.

Also ordered a poutine. It had gravy "chunks" in it and the gravy was very generic and salty.

On the floor next to my table were pieces of the mop head used to clean. I was happy with the cleanliness overall but the mop heaf stri g was a little off putting while trying to eat my donair.

The donair was Soggy, the fries were under cooked and the gravy was lumpy and disgusting. 🤢🤮

The server was funny and happy.

I have loved this restaurant and business for years.
Best donair in Red Deer, for sure!
I hate to say it but disappointed in the manager/owner. This was the third time that I went in to get my order and felt like I was making her mad for being there.
I’ve seen her happy and friendly so I don’t want to assume, but three times over 3 months and every time is unfriendly.

I recently discovered their donair salad with both sauces & olives and it is so delicious. So much so that I ordered it again 2 days later! Unfortunately they forgot to add the sweet sauce, so it wasn't also good as the time before. I'll be recommending

I ordered for the first time at this place and did it through skip . Everything in my order was wrong !!! I had ingredients added to my sonar that I specifically did not ask for. I wasted my money

As a Nova Scotian, this is by far the best donair I've tried in Red Deer. Donaira default toppings have lettuce so I would recommend asking to remove that, but their garlic and sweet sauce combo is perfect.
Was a little pricey, but I will definitely be back again regularly.
