George's Pizza & Steak House

Service was mediocre at best. But considering the reviews I was skeptical. Although the restaurant was dated the food was actually pretty good. Will come back when in the area.

Was invited out for supper—we had always wanted to go, so we were excited to finally try it. Unfortunately, the experience was a big letdown. The restaurant was very dirty with an off-putting smell as soon as we walked in. Service was poor and inattentive. The menu had way too many options, which made me question how fresh anything could really be. Portion sizes were large, but that didn’t make up for the lack of quality. Luckily, we didn’t get sick—but we won’t be going back.

Food was delicious! I had the clubhouse and fries and it was really good. Unfortunately our server was pretty absent for most of the time. our drinks didn't come until we got our appetizers and then they were empty for most of our meal. We were also done our meal before she even came around to ask if everything was good. The restaurant itself is a bit dated. If our service was better I'd give it a full 5 stars.

The chefs special pizza has to be one of the best pizzas in red deer, thick with lots of stuff on it. Loaded, a great crust, which for me means allot. I love a loaded pizza that's got a ton of stuff on it, George's doesn't disappoint.

I gave it a 3 because we have eaten there and had the steak. Waitress was wonderful and the steak was good. We usually order the lasagna(have ordered it many times) because that as well is fantastic but we ordered the hot turkey sandwich and it was awful. I cant explain the taste but it's not real turkey. It's like they bought a precooked/fake bagged turkey. Again I cant explain the taste but it was awful!! Probably will not order from there for awhile it was that disturbing. Back to cooking!**had to update to a 4 because aside from the turkey, the food is amazing!

Did a pick up order first time as we always go and dine in , on pizza and wings . The wings looked like it was from a cancelled order and refried for our order so hard can’t even bite into them so overloaded on salt .
Pizza could have been way better . Not impressed . We will stick with Dino’s pizza.

Absolutely fantastic! New to Red Deer and thought I'd grab something from a local restaurant purchase the burger and fries with gravy, absolutely incredible! You got to try it!

Walked in and someone who appeared to be the owner slowly walked up to us from the back in a completely empty restaurant 3 minutes after walking in. Asked us if we would like to sit…. Told us “a lady” would be out to take our order. Waited another 10 minutes in a 100% dead restaurant and still no “lady” came to speak to us. We left and walked to Mr.mikes. Immediately better

Delicious food, yeah the atmosphere is outdated but that’s what makes the best food .. also I wanted to be the 666 review :)

Pizza the way it should be lots of toppings, great taste. Not skimpy little microscopic little pieces

Always good food. Steak sandwich at lunch is the best deal. Two of us can eat fir $30 (including tip)

3.5 stars is criminal, baked spaghetti with meatballs and the dry ribs and calamari are super good.

George's is a classic in Red Deer. Love their half price pizza Mondays, and half price pasta Tuesdays. Old school ambience, why change a Classic? Great deals, great food.

All I can say is too much sugar and salt in everything! Rice and veg was overcooked to mush, stir fry had way too much sauce. Chicken Ceasar salad had some weird sweet sauce on the chicken, the actual dressing also had way too much sugar in it, and the chicken is not regular breast, it's those frozen breasts that are filled with soy protien. The lettuce cut up was also still together in chunks! I don't even think they washed it! Will NEVER EVER get food from here again. What a waste of money tbh... so disappointed.
