Went here today to try, we had the poke pockets. It was soo good,we'll definitely return. We also had takoyaki, very crispy on the outside and lots of octopus pieces on the inside and very flavourful and savory treat!!! Highly recommended. Service was prompt and the owners are very respectful and recommended their best seller!! I'm glad we listened to their recommendation.

My hubby and I had the sumo and samurai ramen. It looked great, but unfortunately everything tasted pre packaged. Broth was very salty and the beef was quite difficult to chew.

If you want to support local and the down town atmosphere , this is the place. We had some of the best ramen in Alberta here. The broth is amazing it wasn’t a long wait and it was nice fresh and flavourful. It’s gunna be my go to for Saturdays now.

The store was clean and the girl at the counter was really nice, but despite the ramen looking really good there was a definite lack of flavour. The veggies were inedible, they must have been in the freezer because they tasted like cardboard.

Generally a very lovely place to go, the servers are wonderful & lately they’ve been the only good thing about our visits. As a business owner myself I’m aware when new management has been put into place & since this has happened at the Monk things have gone downhill quickly. We were there on a busy night & who I can only assume was a manager was leaning against a wall, arms crossed, watching the servers be run off their feet without bothering to step in & help. No sign of leadership or visible knowledge of how to effectively take care of their front end team. It’s unfortunate really, toxic management will often drive away good employee and I foresee this happening at the Monk.

Hands down the worst "ramen" I've ever had. There was literally, not figuratively, no broth just a hunk of noodle stuck together on the bottom. I will eat almost anything and thisnsinthe first time I stopped 1/4 of the way in and said I just don't want anymore of this.

Tried this finally today after months of wanting to try it. It’s definitely worth checking out. The ramen was delicious, really good broth and flavour. We also got a pina colada and a peach mango drink and both of those were really good as well. Although it did take quite a while to get our food, it was worth the wait. Going to add this place into my regular rotations of restaurants.
First time trying it out.Found service pretty good despite only 1 worker there making all the foods and drinks. Understaffed should be at least 2 worker there 1 in kitchen and 1 out front taking orders and making drinks. No washroom and no A/C at least have a strong fan to get air circulating; the shop extremely hot inside and atmosphere is okay. Food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. Ramen a little overcooked, veggies a little cold, and broth wasn’t hot it was luke warmed. Like I said maybe it’s because they were understaffed.

The Samurai Ramen was incredible! 8.5/10 strongly recommend! Only an 8.5 because the beef was a little tough, the rest was a full out 10!

First time trying Oishideshu ramen. We happened to be downtown and needed to grab something relatively quick. WOW, lucky we stopped there, that was incredible! Correction, is incredible, I set the bowl aside to write this review... Now I regret setting the bowl down, I already miss my ramen!I'm currently enjoying the Samurai Ramen,...so much flavour... will be back for another soon!Sorry Mr. Noodles and Ichiban, we had a good run, but have to move on.
