Visiting from the Okanagan. Needed to take my employees out for lunch. Searched local family owned places. Being a Polak I decided to try this Ukrainian place with some Magyar food. Oh man… place was amazing, so many things to look at… then… babcia came out. Funny, lovely, felt magnetism as if she was my family. Made amazing recommendations that we ordered. This is a great place to come eat, all the food is fresh and made on the spot when you order and it doesn't take long at all. The owner is super friendly and service is all around amazing.

This is my favourite restaurant in all of Red Deer. Great service. Amazing food. Love the grandma’s dining room decor in the dine-in seating space. Great takeout and frozen take home options. I have family from across Alberta who crave Hung Uke pierogies. You can’t find better pierogies anywhere in this province. I’m so excited it’s summer and I can now bike to Hung Uke to satisfy my cravings for a taste of home.
