Food was amazing. So authentic and sweet owner. Had the enchilada and it was definitely worth coming from Medicine Hat to take this in. Look forward to the next time I can get back here.

This is the real deal. Central American food for the right price. Sooooooo good. Even if you don’t like enchiladas, you will love these. I would put this restaurant up there with the best in Red Deer. You will not leave hungry. I ordered the King Enchiladas, and I will order again next time I visit town.

My wife and I have been wanting to try out Jose Jose in the north side of Red Deer after seeing some good reviews and photos on Red Deer Foodies. We finally got there recently for lunch and we were not disappointed!
We both enjoyed Chicken Quesadillas with rice and refried beans. I had a great habanero sauce to add to my quesadillas. I asked for a second one as it was very good and I am a fan of spicy hot flavours and priced fairly. The spicy heat was just right for me. We had quick and friendly service with a nice area to dine in as well. We both thanked the owner and we are looking forward to returning to try out some of the other menu options with some friends and family.

This is one of the best establishments i have ever been to! I honestly can't say enough. The cute interior that makes the atmosphere like no other. The service is amazing. Then there is the food. Some of the best cooking I have ever had. We had the enchiladas and platanos. It was so fresh and tasted amazing. Highly recommend.

Delicious enchiladas, Very cheesy. Excellent empanadas, crispy with great flavor. Nice, filling portion size.
Authentic and delicious, best Mexican food in Red Deer!
My first time in Red Deer and I was looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant I entered and noticed the welcoming and warm vibe the restaurant provided the woman who was working “probably owner” had a welcoming and charming vibe I got the quesadilla with beans and rice, it took about 10-20 minutes and the food was hot, full of flavour and had the perfect amount of spice I asked for, the portions are HUGE and the price is right it’s about 20$ a person. I didn’t eat all day and I couldn’t have another bite I was so full from the amount of protein in my food! The owner works hard even giving us mandarins after our lunch if I come back to red deer I will only be eating here. 5 STARS!
Bring your appetite, servings are huge and food has authentic taste.
Went with a group, everyone else’s food was fine but they served me a chicken quesadilla with *green*, rancid chicken in it and then the server was very rude with me when I refused to eat it. She just went off about how “I don’t like it so I won’t eat it” and kept trying to force everyone else at the table to eat it.
I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. I think it’s fun and eclectic but the food was a hard no. I was suspiciously empty at peak dinner time considering all the hype I’ve heard about it over the years.
