Was headed to the subway next door and found this place. It was very mediocre, I expected more from the fries, as a poutine place (it's in the name), I expected fries that stood out. Frankly I make better fries at home. The toppings were basic, and it was good. Very underwhelming for a place that is supposed to specialize in an item. I am in no rush to return. Maybe if I'm driving by and feel in the mood, won't be going out of my way.

Clean spots! Super friendly and quickly directed me to GF menu once I stated that was what I was looking for. I got the cheese burger on a GF bun and the classic poutine. Hot, fresh and oh so delicious ! Will definitely recommend!

Picked up food for family of 4 (which was less than a 5 min drive away)

The cashier was nice and repeated order, asked if we needed drinks, salt and pepper etc. service was good!

However most of the food was less than desirable, soggy limp fries, unmelted cheese curds (shows food was not hot at all) tasteless/rubbey burger- when the kids say the burgers and poutine are better at the school cafeteria, I think this place is below lacking for a restaurant that “won best poutine”
The chicken strips were however crispy and good - the only thing I would recommend, the price on them was good too for what you receive.

I had the regular country, my wife had the small pulled pork. This was a late lunch, and both of us were hungry. Neither of us finished, not because they weren't delicious, but because the portions were so big! Wouldn't order the pulled pork again, just not our bag. Fries were perfect, not too much gravy, toppings were outstanding.

Will definitely plan lunch passing through here again in future!

While my family enjoyed their meal, I had difficulty with the Philly cheesesteak I ordered.. Meat was bland, they used processed cheese, and the bread was tougher than the doormat at the entrance. I ate it because I was hungry, but my stomach hurt all afternoon and my intestinal track made me pay the price all night. My visit to the restroom was also disappointing in that there was no toilet paper available. We were passing through town heading to Calgary and wanted to avoid gasoline Alley, but we regretted giving this place a chance. I don't think we'll ever be back.

Munchies is a restaurant with commendable and honourable food service, cooking skills, and overall amazing cuisinary experience. The food, of which is easily considered the most enjoyable part of the experience, blends a near guilty level of deliciousness with a feeling of gratification that I ‘spent’ some of my ‘cheat food’ points on something so amazing. Not only is the food worth every dollar (not to take into disregard the realistic yet still excellent pricing) but it’s worth the sacrifice of every other single potential place to possibly fulfill not just my own but all of my friends twice or thrice a weekly spontaneous munchey tendencies. The best part being that, depending on the dish, you can actually have something that satiates the occassional junk food itch while being conscious and in control of any potential need to be healthy or sense of yumminess remorse; with toppings, sauces, and sides that easily transform and amplify a poutine into something totally unique and easily capable of making first place for Muchies’s tastiest snack confection. With poutines ranging from the afforementioned snacks to full on meals such as their amazing cream of mushroom and steak, pulled pork, or vegetarian mexican style which despite the lack of meat is my personal favourite. I’d easily give Munchies five stars because their table space is always sparkling and has a welcoming urban feel, their service is quick and high quality, and the food is utterly irresistable. One star from atmosphere as a more effective solution for the floors slight muddiness coming into the winter season could be sought, I have zero complaints and nothing but compliments to give to this store. Residents of Red Deer near and far that haven’t yet thought to stop by the store along Taylor north of the river, do so, don’t hesitate, from my experience I can assure you there’s something for everyone. Its location makes it a great addition to any missions that might bring south siders north for any reason let alone acting independently as a reason to do so and a haven for residents of the north side looking for something to munch on and most importantly of all something delicious at that. Highly recommend!

I just ordered from there off Uber and it just got here and I have never been more disappointed in my life. Nachos are my favorite. It’s not hard to me. I basically eat nachos absolutely anywhere but for the price of these what I got was outrageous and a waste of money and I will probably never be back To spend $20 and be able to finish my meal not even even two minutes because I can count how many trips there are on one hand is ridiculous.. I know shrinkflation is a thing but do better
