Went here yesterday for lunch. Ordered Mac and Cheese and Chicken fingers. Only had 1 hour and food never came out. Waitress kept saying they were backed up. Had to leave before food came out. Who doesn't love going back to work starving. I used to really like the food here but something is clearly broke.

Went for a late night drink and snack and had a great experience. Good service, great food (their tomato soup and crustinis is a classic!) and cold beer. Served with a smile in a clean restaurant.
We’ve always had great service and food when we visit Original Joe’s in Red Deer. Tonight was different, a couple coming out well we were going in said the food was bad as well as the service. We brushed it off. We sat down right away and had waters asap. We ordered the calamari, it was a little greasy this time around. We ordered the tomato bacon soup with cheese bread, the cheese bread was barely toasted with any color. The soup was great as always. We ordered a burger with fries. I made comment to the waitress the fries were pretty greasy, she proceeded to tell me they were fried in oil.. what a no brainer!!! She must be highly educated this girl!! That cut her tip to -0-. We left immediately afterwards. She didn’t even tell the manager we had some concerns with supper, as most restaurants staff would tell the manager. If this is how staff at OJ’s is going to treat the customer, it’ll just be another business in RD that closes there doors!!

We ordered the dry ribs because my husband had them at a charity golf tournament where Original Joe’s was one of the food sponsors & could not say enough about them. Well we were so disappointed as the ribs were terrible at the restaurant. We also ordered the calamari since the waitress said it was very popular. We ended up sending it back & they made it for us a second time, we are thinking they may have thrown a few on top & gave us rhe same dish, it was like boot leather.
We’ve tried OJ’s a few times as we lived close to the restaurant & have always been disappointed. Thought we’d try it again, but that was the last time. When you soend $100, you expect to beable to enjoy your meal, well not there

Came in at 2:40pm Happy Hour Menu given to us stated happy hour runs from 2-5pm. Tried to order, sorry you got the Calgary menu Happy Hour starts at 3 pm. Did not appreciate the server’s attitude that transpired afterwards

Came in with my family to celebrate a birthday and Lexi made the whole night awesome! She was super friendly, gave great food and drink recommendations, and made sure everything ran smoothly.
