My husband and I went for the Sunday Roast night. What could be wrong with that, you might ask? Prime rib, Yorkshire pud, veggies, potatoes AND a glass of vino. Where shall I start. The roast was not an 8 ounce portion. It was a wafer thin, generously I would estimate between 4-5 ounces. It was barely warm and the fat was solidified white. The oven roasted potatoes consisted of 1/2 a potato, cut in 5 wedges and browned. A small portion of carrots and broccoli were also on the plate. The Yorkshire was warm. The au juice was only warm. The gravy we ordered was only warm and clotted. If it had been offered as a senior portion meal and served hot, it would have been fine. But it wasn’t. There was a time when this restaurant was a first class treat to go to. Tablecloths, fabric napkins, nice glassware, utensils and china. Not anymore. I think the look they are going for is shabby chic. The food was fabulous, not anymore. Very disappointing. Will not be back.

The food was very good and the restaurant itself is a very relaxing atmosphere. But the staff, we were greeted and got sat to our table, no problem. The was one lady going around and cleaning all the tables and making sure everyone had water, but she was not the waitress. We did see another 3 more waitress around. The one waitress who was ours, it looks like she was taking all the tables for her self. Took forever for her to take our order. The food came out good enough by someone else. When we were done our food she asked if we wanted desert, we said yes and ordered it along with the bill. The desert came, but the bill did not, then we asked for the bill again, and still waited a long time, we finally got up and went to the bar to pay and still had to wait for her. We finally paid and left. We got there at 5:30 and left at 7. We had an appointment for 7 and was late. NOT ACCEPTABLE. I would suggest they get more staff or someone that knows what they are doing.

I always enjoy coming to the Pelican They have the best fresh oysters. Steak sandwich during happy hour is a great bang for your buck Love their seniors portions of liver n onions and the staff is always prompt and shares a smile Highly recommend. Ambiance is great inside and out I. The patio. Give this king time in Red Deer restaurant a try - you won’t be disappointed!!

Came in for the Thursday oyster special. Was pleasantly surprised!! Great oysters, great price. And my server was fantastic, Christine. Friendly and very helpful ??. I will most definitely be back when I'm in town. Hopefully it'll be on a Thursday ? And the price amount is because I ate so many oysters.

My partner and I came in yesterday and had a great experience! The food was delicious, especially the blue cheese and pear flatbread. The staff were very kind and attentive, and they went above and beyond to correct a small mistake with my order. 10/10 food and service, will definitely be coming back more often

This dinner ruined the bday dinner we had planned here.In a world where dining out is the norm and a steak costs $50..all I expect is at least a food discount when things are this awful and at least an apology. Service otherwise was fine, but the King Neptune steak was horrible, tasted like it had been previously frozen..and very under cooked and fatty. We did inform the server but she did nothing to rectify it. The steak and lobster combo which my friend had was better..but not great or worth what we paid. The butter tasted cheap and fake and the gravy was gross. The sparkling water we received had expired a year ago..we saw it on the bottle..Definitely will not be back unfortunately.

Actually not too bad. We went just for lunch .. menu good .. prices excellent and so was service. We sat out on deck. Nice umbrellas for shade but could use some flowers or something to brighten it up .. but ok and comfortable. Overall I would recommend restaurant.

This was a random, late evening decision after a day on the road. We were pleasantly surprised. What I thought would be another burger & fry, road trip kind of night, turned into a delicious seafood treat with friendly, great service. My daughter had the stuffed salmon with shrimp and cream cheese (yes she even poutined-up the fries), and I went all out with the amazing seafood platter. Everything was fantastic and served beautifully. Our server was delightful to converse with and went the extra mile to make our random night into a great mother-daughter memory. Thanks a bunch! We’ll be back,
Fresh oysters every Thursday. Delicious!Great service. Nice deck. If your inside it is a bit warm, need a little more air conditioning. Local spot for many years. Give it a try.

Oil-free Vegans have a challenge ordering anything beyond a glass of water in most North American restaurants these years - so it was particularly impressive to have a caring service staff willing to engage on the details of how to get an acceptable meal into position. The kind server subsequently brought the cook to our table to ensure that they were able to produce an adequate and tasty outcome - including an off-menu optional suggestion, which was accepted. One of the better and most enjoyable meals out this year. Highly recommended.

My fiancè and I had gone to Rusty Pelican for our anniversary and it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere and staff was welcoming and sophisticated! Not to mention the best cocktails and seafood I've ever had! Definitely our new favorite spot, you must check out this restaurant!

Went out of the way to accommodate, and food was great! Will be back, Christine was a great host.Came here for Mothers day last minute, mom has MS, in a wheel chair, we don't do reso's since we never know what the day will bring. The lady at the front did some serious figuring to make sure we could get in on the busy day, moms first "outside" experience since COVID, she wont forget it, thanks so much RP!
