Amazing to meet up with friends service and atmosphere were very good. We had almost no wait for our table. We have gone many times over the years.

I hadn't been to Shiso in a while and decided to give it a go with my parents visiting from our of town. It used to be really good, but figured with my last experience id change my review. My mum is gluten intolerant, the server was unaware of what meals were gluten free, which I understand you can't know all of it, but not being able to confirm if the tempura was rice flour was frustrating. The service took over an hour, 20 minutes between appetizers and the main course, our salads never came as part of the dinner special. To top it off both the men's and woman's facilities were so gross they weren't usable. You could smell them when you walked in. I'm thinking we just hit a bad day. Will try again one day, but for now I'm put off for a while.

Food is good, I love Bento which you could choose your favorite foods (3items from the list) to make your own Bento. Service is normal. Window-side seat is very nice. However, there is an insect (small cockroach) when we are eating, which adversely affected my appetite. (That’s why I just gave 3 stars.)
