We saw signs for Smitty's all over Alberta and decided to stop for a quick meal. We shouldn't have stopped when we saw it connected to a gas station. The waitress was very nice, but the food was another story. Nothing came out as described on the menu. The Steak Sandwich was one piece of toast with a steak and two onion rings not even stacked. I inquired about the tomato jam that was listed with it and was told they were out of it. I had requested my steak to be medium, but it was a dry well done. She offered to have them remake it, but I changed to the beef dip. The bread was soft, the meat was bland, there was no cheese, and the au just tasted like water. No flavor at all. Very disappointing stop.
The waitress was nice, but couldn't tell us if the tea was sweetened or not. "It's Lipton " Yes, the tea was sweet.

Friendly Staff and clean eating area. However, the buffet food is at best hotel free breakfast quality. It's served in warmers and attended to well. But the food quality is not there.

What a great place for breakfast. Our server was excellent and had a very good rapport with the seniors I was with. It was busy, but the food was really good even if you had to wait a little. I had the eggs anyway with bacon and traded out my toast and potatoes for pancakes. Over easy eggs were cooked perfectly for me.

Stopped in for breskfast and tbey had a fantastic breakfast special on. Two eggs four strips of bacon and two sides for $8.99. IT WAS EXCELLANT.

Can't really rate it, came in, waited 10 minutes for them to clean tables even though there were lots available, two waitresses cleaning tables, one chatting with a customer, all three knew we were waiting to be seated. Decided to leave and get service elsewhere.
