It's a cool place if I was half my age it'd probably be my go to pub. Food was excellent service was great. Patio and outdoor areas were great

Service was horrible, as soon as we sat down we wait for 10-15 to get served, after ordering our drinks the Waitress came back 3 times to ask us what we ordered again because she never wrote it down! Wait for those drinks for a while and between each drink it was like a 15 minute wait to order again! Alot of the waitresses stood around trying to look busy then actually doing their job, the food was okay but don't order the mash potatoes they were cold and dry as and looked like they came from a Squeeze tub! Did not finish them

Mussels were good, as were the burger and the fish and chips. Ceasar salad was requested as gluten free. Came with croutons. They did reduce the price because of error. Server very apologetic.

On the suggestion from my bestie's guy we stopped at the Toad 'n Turtle for lunch. Trust me this will be a regular stop when in Red Deer from now on! We had beef dips and wraps, all delicious! If you haven't....you should!!

Highly overpriced. Shared toadstools which was 19$ and both of us had the steak sandwich with mashed potatoes, which was mediocre at best. The total came to over 90$. The steak sandwiches were 35 each. Could have gone elsewhere and gotten a really good steak sandwich and the bill would have been at least 20 less. Disappointed with the food and the overpricing. The service was good at least, but not good enough to make up for it.The total bill had no drinks on it as we had water.Will not be returning

The Toad 'N Turtle was a random choice that will be a new favorite when traveling through Red Deer. The atmosphere is unique, the service is amazing, the food was good, and the prices are decent. We had the brisket grilled cheese, Caesar salad, and toad stools (stuffed mushrooms). Toad stools are a must-have! The only suggestion I could make is that the music should be bardcore, to go with the medieval theme. Great place I highly recommend.
I’ve been coming here for several years but tonight was the best. The food has always been consistent and top notch flavour. The prices are very reasonable compared to other places. I think this is the joint me and the boys are gonna come to from now on. The server we had tonight was worth every penny. Had a hiccup with the old fashions but drive er in ya! whoever your chef is deserves a raise to.

My wife and I love to make a little road trip to here from Edmonton. The brisket grilled cheese sandwich never disappoints. Their gravy is a must have and they always have a great selection on Tap. Highly recommend for any time of the day or evening.
