This would’ve been a 5 star review because every other time my boyfriend and I have been here we’ve had a positive experience. It was very busy today so went to sit on the very far tables because there wasn’t any other sitting. After sitting for 15 minutes with no service my boyfriend went in to ask if he could order a drink for him and I. Instead the bartender wouldn’t let him order and said the waitress would find us and get to us. She explained to him what a tab was and how it worked there after he said we had been there before and wasn’t helpful. We then continued to wait for another 15 minutes. I understand we were in the farthest table away but when you have a full venue all tables should be checked. We got up and left sadly and decided to get a drink elsewhere because we were getting hot. This was at 4:25pm today. Just wanted to leave this review so hopefully things can be improved and tables aren’t forgotten in the future as this was an unfortunate experience.

Atmosphere was incredible! All the staff and customers are great. our server was Gabby and she is awesome. Made my evening, Will be coming back.

gabby! opal! you guys are amazing! you made our first and second visit to troubled monk so special! we hadn’t come here before, and we were completely in the dark on what to order, we were guided through the process with such expertise and care! opal made us want to come back and bring our friends, and gabby impressed them just as much on our second visit. we loved every drink we had (and we had a lot lol) and we were inclined to enjoy more than we normally would just because of how good every drink was!! i especially recommended trying a flavoured tea, a “if the crown fits” and a “bold move”! thank so much again to opal, gabby, and troubled monk as a whole! we love it here, we’ll be back, and make this a regular visit for us during the warmer months. (gratuity earned not given!!!!!) tip your servers! these young ladies deserve it.

Troubled Monk is an absolute gem! The ambiance is great—chill and welcoming, with an industrial feel that really sets the mood. The beer selection offers something for everyone, from crisp lagers to bold IPAs and a fantastic seasonal stout.
Tanis was friendly and knowledgeable, happy to help us choose based on our tastes.
Highly Recommend this place.
