Recommended! Rimbey is fortunate to have a restaurant like this. The food is excellent. We recently went to a Chinese restaurant in Edmonton that we were told was one of the best; it was very popular (busy), but we thought Happy Valley’s food was better.
The proprietors, Mae and John, get to know their customers by name. Mae’s Chinese accent sometimes requires a careful ear for full understanding, but she is a friendly, open and generous individual.

The best ginger beef I've ever had. Yum. Also the shrimp chop suey, they're spring rolls, the fries and gravy, lemon chicken, all bomb!!!

I hope people of rimbey appreciate what a great restaurant they have here. I've eaten here every time I come to town and every time it's reaffirmed that this is the best Chinese food in the province.. the chicken balls have almost no coating it's very crispy not mushy, and they are homemade because it's pure breast meat not processed crap and the Chop Suey is second to none. Having wor wonton today.

Worst meal I’ve ever received. We ordered a beef dip which came on a hot dog bun.. the beef was freezing cold as if it just came out of the fridge. We also ordered a clubhouse sandwich, the cheese on this was a singletons slice… and an order of chow mein, the noodles were severely undercooked. When we called to complain the owner said “thats just how we make it, been doing this for 30 years”. Terrible food & customer service to boot. I never usually make reviews but this was the most disappointing experience i’ve ever had with a restaurant in Rimbey. Happy Valley - do better!

When you drive by this place and the parking lots empty, you know why!! Sunday buffet was cold, soggy, and a painful experience to wait for a buffet top up for some fresh food. The beef and broccoli, the beef was cold…. Take your business else where. Let them starve and move out and /or sell the business to someone who cares!! Good luck happy valley… your gonna need it!!

Went for smorgasbord for fathers day . No food in trays . When food was there it was cold and bland , no flavour . Had to get our own utensils , cut our own roast ect . Originally was overcharged on our invoice and when informed owner was reluctant to reimburse . Highly recommend stay clear of this restaurant.
