Recommended! Rimbey is fortunate to have a restaurant like this. The food is excellent. We recently went to a Chinese restaurant in Edmonton that we were told was one of the best; it was very popular (busy), but we thought Happy Valley’s food was better.
The proprietors, Mae and John, get to know their customers by name. Mae’s Chinese accent sometimes requires a careful ear for full understanding, but she is a friendly, open and generous individual.
Food was very good, I only gave 4 stars because the menu was unclear. We intend to return, but at least we now know that we have to ask about what is written on the menu. I have no qualms about recommending this establishment.
I hope people of rimbey appreciate what a great restaurant they have here. I've eaten here every time I come to town and every time it's reaffirmed that this is the best Chinese food in the province.. the chicken balls have almost no coating it's very crispy not mushy, and they are homemade because it's pure breast meat not processed crap and the Chop Suey is second to none. Having wor wonton today.
