they girl at the counter said the kids hot chocolate would be not be hot, due to complaints, because she wanted me to pay $5.00 for a chocolate. It literally tasted like milk. Wasted my money

I would like to express my disappointment with the customer service I received at your Second Cup CrossIron location on October 18, around 7:00–7:30 PM.

I ordered two medium Nutty Pumpkin Frochos with one shot of espresso each and wanted to redeem them using my points, as I had enough balance on my account. When I informed the barista, he told me that the drinks were “not qualified for redemption.”

I politely mentioned that at Red Deer branch, I’ve been able to redeem the same drinks without issue. However, the barista responded in a sarcastic tone, saying “It says here no.” I replied, “Oh, really?” and he then said, “If you want, you can do it here,” while making dismissive hand gestures. I ended to pay it since I was so upset and disappointed. After few hours, I received an redemption email and my points was deducted to my mobile app.

I found his tone and behavior quite unprofessional and disrespectful. Customer service was very poor!!!

Noordin the manager is horrible at customer service. Attacked us for telling him the iced chai tasted like water. Horrible service horrible staff do not recommend.

I always wanted to support them over the alternative but someone needs to teach the staff about temperature control. The last 3 times we’ve been, the drinks were so hot they burned our mouths instantly, even our kids steamed milk was hotter than the sun.
Because of this constant problem, 1 star.
Go to Starbucks!

I love second cup whenever i went to 2803 17 ave and sunridge both are great and doing fantastic job I love the way of welcoming and service but i had ever bad experiences with cross iron they never ever welcomed and their service is very poor one lady she doesn’t know how to talk with customers . I never ever got my drink like other cafes . I wanna to salute other both locations and I didn’t want to give even one star to these people.

I JUST BOUGHT JUST NOW A PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE AND THE ESPRESSO IS NOT FRESH ITS ONLY 8.15PM AND THEY ALREADY FILL UP IN A BIG CUP OF ESPRESSO SO THEY JUST POUR IT IN THE CUP NO MEASURE THEY JUST POUR IT LIKE THAT LIKE I DONT KNOW IF THEY PUT THE PROPER ESPRESSO ON IT BECAUSE THEY ALREADY FILL UP A FULL ESPRESSO IN A CUP SO THEY WILL NOT MAKE ANYMORE SO WHENEVER THERES AN ORDER THEY WILL JUST POUR THE ESPRESSO IN THE CUP SO ITS NOT FRESH I HOPE THEY WILL MAKE AN ACTION BECAUSE IT SHOULD BE FRESH AND IN THE RIGHT MEASURE OF ESPRESSO. EVENTHOUGH ITS 8:15 or whatever time is it they should not do fill an espresso in a whole big cup just to pour it whenever theres an order. ITS NOT RIGHT ITS VERY WRONG ITS NOT A PROPER THINGS TO DO FOR A COFFEE SHOP. YOU SHOULD CHECK YOUR CCTV CAMERA SO YOULL KNOW IT.

Very disappointed and disrespectful experience at this location made my day worst I ordered 3 drinks and when I gently asked about using my points for drinks he’s told me he can redeem points for just one drink no one second cup has this terms and conditions because I am loyal customer of second cup. If you love your self respect then don’t come at this location..

I visited the Second Cup in this location around 8:45 PM and had a very disappointing experience. I ordered my usual sugar-free frappe with heavy cream — a drink I regularly enjoy at their Banff location. Unfortunately, this version was bland and lacked any real flavor. I told them I know the taste of that certain drink because I do it everyday and they keep on insisting because of the heavy cream that's why it was bland.

To make matters worse, the espresso shot they used wasn’t freshly pulled. When I questioned it, the staff casually mentioned it was “made two minutes ago” — apparently because they were close to closing. If a coffee shop can’t serve a fresh espresso shot just because it’s nearing closing time, that’s unacceptable. When I asked for a refund, the team member said she can't do any refund because she doesn't have any cash or can't do any refund in my card.

The quality here is clearly not consistent with other locations. I left feeling let down and won’t be returning to this location anytime soon. Second Cup should hold all its cafes to the same standard — especially when it comes to something as basic as fresh coffee.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this coffee shop. I ordered a frappuccino and was instead given an iced latte, which tasted terrible. When I politely asked the cashier to replace the drink, he refused and spoke to me in a rude, condescending manner—as if I was a child or one of his employees.

I remained calm and respectful, but the customer service was shockingly unprofessional. He even refused to refund my money or let me speak to a manager. I don’t understand how a business can hire staff who treat customers this way.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. I won’t be returning, and I don’t recommend this place to anyone who expects to be treated with basic respect.
