My fav Japanese place in and around Edmonton. The staff is super friendly, a family run place and the food is just to die for! It should be on your list to eat out if you are living or visiting Edmonton.
I used to eat here before 2020 and the food was amazing but the food has gone downhill since. Very little flavor & lacking salt in all the dishes - June 2025. Tempora veggies were partially raw. Volcano roll was swimming in sweet chili sauce - odd choice for this dish. Dragons Eye was also very bland & dry and swimming in a tasteless sauce. Miso soup had no flavor. I hope they were just having a bad day.
Today my experience overall here was not one of being impressed. While the restaurant is clean, tidy and presentable, and the music created a nice atmosphere; the service was probably the slowest service of any dine in experience I’ve had in any Sushi Restaurant. I feel the issue here is that the Sushi Bar chef is overworked and they definitely could use a second sushi chef to help. The emphasis was definitely not on those who were dining in. It was on takeout and delivery....
