Well even though I had breakfast this morning, there was something missing. So I stopped into the restaurant to try out their coffee. It’s great, also I ordered chicken fingers that comes with a salad. The chicken was perfect, just the right crunch and nice and hot. The professional waitress asked what kind of dipping sauce, and I said sweet and sour please. Yep I’m polite. So next time you want a classy meal. Head over to the Something Else Restaurant for a pleasurable meal.

Great Greek restaurant in downtown Spruce Grove. Came for a work event, they have a good separated room for functions. Food came out fast and was very tasty, everyone enjoyed their order. Will be coming back!

I had such a great experience here. The food tasted incredibly fresh, with that perfect balance of flavors you want from good Greek cooking. The souvlaki was tender, the tzatziki was perfect. The portions were generous, and everything came out hot. The staff were friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed atmosphere that made the meal even better. If you’re craving authentic, delicious Greek food, this place is definitely worth a visit!
I also loved how clean and well-kept the whole place was. You can tell they take pride in what they do.
I will definitely be back and recommend it to family and friends.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Absolutely Outstanding!
I had dinner here last night and was genuinely blown away by both the exceptional service and the incredible food. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcomed and taken care of. Every interaction was warm, attentive, and effortless the kind of service that makes a meal feel special.
The food was beyond amazing. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and served at just the right pace. You can tell the kitchen takes real pride in what they do. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a meal where everything from appetizers to the last bite was this consistently delicious.
Overall, it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. If you’re looking for a place with great atmosphere, memorable food, and truly top-tier service, this is it. I’ll definitely be coming back!!

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but my experience at Something Else in Spruce Grove was so genuinely impressive that I felt it absolutely deserved one.
From the moment I arrived, I appreciated how easy everything was — even the parking. There’s plenty of space, which made the visit feel relaxed right from the start. Once inside, the warm, welcoming atmosphere immediately stood out. You can tell this is a family-run restaurant in the best way possible: there’s a sense of pride, care, and genuine hospitality that gives it a real “home away from home” feeling.
To start, I ordered the Greek dips and dolmades. Both were fantastic — the dips were incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the dolmades were tender, well-seasoned, and clearly made with attention to detail. For my main, I had the steak, which was cooked perfectly: juicy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Everything tasted like it was prepared with real passion.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and sincerely kind — the kind of service that elevates a good meal into a memorable experience. And despite the high quality of the food and service, the prices were very reasonable, offering great value for what you get.
Overall, Something Else truly exceeded my expectations. It’s rare to find a place that combines excellent food, a family-run atmosphere, fair prices, and such warm service. I’m happy to recommend it to anyone in or around Spruce Grove. This restaurant is absolutely worth a visit — and worth writing a review for.

I’m by no means angry or upset about my experience last night, but I feel like I should give an accurate account of our dinner.
As we walked in, we were greeted pleasantly by a waitress who quickly seated us. The whole restaurant is carpeted.. not my first choice but whatever.. I’m not the one who has to clean it.
It took a few minutes to see our server, despite it being rather slow, but that wasn’t a big deal. We ordered dolmades to start, which came out very quickly. For a Greek restaurant, I was surprised to see that the dolmades were just cold, store bought ones (the same ones the Italian market has). They were pretty good, and the tzatziki sauce was also good.
I ordered a blueberry iced tea, it was very good.
Here’s where everything went south.. I ordered the vegetable stirfry. Immediately I noticed that the vegetables were from a frozen bag (easily spotted with broccoli and cauliflower, and the carrots were cut the exact same way as frozen that would suggest a mechanical uniform slice instead of an imperfect knife slice). The menu said there were snap peas in the dish, but were not present in mine. I asked our server for some snap peas, but she informed me that they were “out of season”. Again.. not a huge deal but don’t advertise an ingredient if it’s going to come and go from the dish? Or at the very least, add a disclaimer that some items are subject to market availability.
I stirred everything together after removing the raw carrots from my stirfry.. (also confirms that the veggies all came together in a frozen bag, since carrots cook much slower than broccoli and cauliflower) but there was so much sauce, it was almost unbearable to eat. It was literal soup.
I slowly picked at the vegetables until I bit into a long black hair (I’m a redhead and my man is bald). I told my server that I didn’t want my dish any more (I had eaten maybe 1/6 of it.. just a few bites). She was very apologetic, and despite being very young and new to serving; she handled it quite well.
Our server offered to send the manager over, but I felt it was unnecessary - I wasn’t mad.. I just didn’t want to eat what they were serving.
I have managed several restaurants, and currently own a restaurant staffing company, so I think that I have a bit of experience to speak on this - if a table has that bad of an experience.. as a manager, you attempt to at least talk it out with the guest. I know that I said it was ok, but if I were the manager, I would have talked to the table instead of letting an 18 year old “new to serving” waitress try to handle the situation. Again.. I know I said it was alright, but as a manager, I would have touched that table immediately.
My boyfriend ordered the haddock, and again; most of his plate was from a frozen bag. His meal started with a tiny bowl of chicken noodle.. it was not home made. The vegetables and fries on his plate were from frozen, although the fries were still relatively tasty. I can’t say much about the fish as I didn’t have any, but he said it was ok.
We asked for the bill, and the stirfry was still on it. I feel like the waitress just didn’t know what to do.. but after asking about it; she removed it. The bill was still $85 for 1 meal, 1 appetizer, and a couple drinks. Considering the low quality of every dish we had, the prices are outrageous.
If you want actual home made Greek food, go to Alexander’s in Stony Plain. Just a short drive away and the food is considerably better.
