Swiss Chalet

My wife and I took our daughter and her husband and our two grandboys out for dinner last night. Good old house cooking and generous portions. My wife had the chicken poutine and that was a big hit. Service was good and the place had lots of tables open for a Sunday night. No complaints here.

The waiter screwed up the appetizer and brought the wrong one, but when the rest of the food came it was as expected for Swiss Chalet. My chicken was done perfectl, but one of the others with me her chicken was over dry. We were going to tell the waiter but after dropping off the food, the waiter completely ignored us until we were done eating some couldn't even say anything.

Food was great!wonderful service we got and all the server was friendly. Anne is one of the best server in Swiss Chalet from the time she took our order and serve our food it was a wonderful experienced everytime we visit the restaurant.

The staff were great, but once again, I got served a quail instead of a quarter chicken. Why can't these be saved for kids' meals instead of a full-grown man? One day, we will find better value. The seats are disgusting, all torn and falling apart. Either you want to be in the food service industry or you don't. Don't wait for us to make that decision for you.

Amy has exceptional customer service, always greets me with a smile and knows how to do her job well. The service provided at the restaurant was amazing, with quick meal preps times and amazing customer service provided by Amy.

Usually once every 3 or 4 weeks my wife and i order take out, a family pack every time and have the chicken cut into 4. On Sunday we did this, I sat inside to wait after I ordered it. They usually say 20 minutes so I sit in the car and go back in and its usually sitting there waiting so I decided to wait inside this time. That way I would be there when it was ready. Anyways after already waiting 20 minutes they informed me that they had no longer had white meat, and if I wanted white meat it would be another 20 minutes. They offered me 6 pieces of thighs instead, had I known this when I ordered I would of gone elsewhere. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. Good customer service, they should have informed me of the shortage when i ordered.
Come on Swiss Chalet, you can do better .....

Unfortunately will not be returning to this restaurant after our most recent experience.
We have ordered for take out from this location numerous times and it is normally really good. The odd time we have had issues with incorrect items but has never been a big deal.
Our most recent (and last) time we went, we ordered through the app for pick up and pay in store which we always do. We went to the store, paid, grabbed our food and left.
About 30 minutes later, I got a text that my food was ready for pick up. I figured this was a mistake and just ignored it. About 10 minutes later, I get a call from +1-866-439-0439 which I ignored until they called again. When I answered, they had said they were from Swiss Chalet customer service (the number matches) and the location manager had told them that I left without paying. They then said that I need to give my credit card number to pay. I explained that I had paid and that I was not going to give any information over the phone. She kept repeating that the manager said I didn’t pay and I need to pay for my food. She put me on hold and when she returned, I asked her to verify the amount she said I spent to ensure it wasn’t some sort of scam which she did. I then told her my bank balance shows the purchase and I did in fact pay. She said the manager would call me and hung up.
Generally, I have no issue when mistakes happen but the customer service rep was extremely accusatory, did not care to ask questions or discuss and went on for 10-15 minutes saying I didn’t pay. There was no accountability for the mistake as I never heard from the manager or customer service rep again. Recognition of their mistake would have left me feeling better about the situation but instead we felt horribly mistreated and disrespected.
