unfortunately they don't don't take allergies seriously at this restaurant. I told them that I had a serious very serious allergy to eggs and anything that contains eggs. so I asked if there's eggs in their hamburger of the day they checked and they said no. so I said okay I'll just get it lettuce wrapped. My friend ordered the exact same thing. thank goodness I checked this hamburger before I ate it because there was mayonnaise slathered all over it. when I asked if that was in fact mayonnaise they said yes. you have to expect mayonnaisees on all hamburgers but no it is not. also, I'd already told them of my serious allergy and mayonnaise contains eggs. My friend thought she'd be nice and said I'll take that burger home and just order me some more fries please. so that's what we did and they made me a new hamburger without eggs. we are more than a little bit disappointed when we realize they charged us double for their mistake charging us for all three hamburger and fries. We will not ever go back there again

Stopped by during Thanksgiving weekend on Saturday night without a rez with 4 people. Quick service and a great atmosphere. The food....two perogy lasagna dishes with garlic sausage, ribs and a chicken cranberry melt sandwich. All of the meals were so tasty and quick to arrive. Left overs galore. Definitely recommend Bistro 56!
I am from out of town so I thought I would support a local business.
I got the beef dip (onions and mushrooms were extra) with Cesar salad as take out.
I arrived to pick it up and paid $30 and added a 15% tip. When I received the bag, it felt light so I opened it to check. It was very small portions and almost no aus jus.
I went back in and asked for another, and was told rudely that Iโd have to pay $1.50 for another. Very disappointed with the service and the meal portions for the price.
No cutlery was given either.
Will not order again.

Karen, a canola rep with Breva Seeds, brought the pyrohy and kobassa meal, and garlic toast to the field while we are combining! Best food weโve had all week!

Food is really good particularly fish and chips(fries). There are a number of menu items but without the menu in front of me. It's hard to pick all the things I like.

Had the pyrogy lasagna, and it was quite possibly the most amazing thing I've ever had at a restaurant. This must be tried!
