I’ll travel from anywhere in Albert to get a scoop here. Lovely place. Great vibes. Can be busy, but c’mon it’s sylvan…

Parking: Find a spot and walk like everyone else lol

Food is great, really like the burgers and ice cream. The prices are reasonable for the location right across from the beach during tourist season.

The location is literally right across the street from the beach, so there are nice views. But since there are lots of tourists here, it can be an utter gong show during the times everyone wants a snack. I can see this place being crazy during weekends in the summer. Definitely try it when the crowds die down a bit and there is a bit of sanity for the workers.

Ordered 3 things besides ice cream. 2 hot dogs and a poutine. We received a burger a hot dog and the poutine. The poutine gravy was chunky from coagulation (see photo)

Despite us being first in line we waited 20mins for our order. The only good thing here is the Cold Stone Creamery ice cream.

Do not waste your money on food here. We spent almost $60 for what we got. (Note ice cream was single scoop regular cones)

In addition, every table was dirty, and when we got there the place had been empty.

I understand this is just a local establishment selling food for the lake. But the fact that it was not cheap, fast, or clean shows a lot about management.

We do really like this place but honestly I’m kinda disappointed after today. The ice cream already costs more than most places & YES I understand exactly why but my daughter walked out the door & her ice cream immediately dropped right off the cone cause it wasn’t pressed into the cone hard enough. We went back in showed them the cone & they had us REPAY almost $8 so I didn’t have a crying daughter. No it’s not expected for them to replace it but really? I have never experienced that before anywhere it was so disappointing. Especially cause no one else was in the store it’s not like it was disruptive to their work to stop & do that. I’m upset & it’s bothering me that the store is overpriced but we were made to pay 2 times before they didn’t even press the ice cream onto the come.

This is definitely a classic spot in Sylvan Lake and one of those places you just always plan to hit whenever you go to the lake. Who doesn’t crave a cold ice cream after a hot day at the water?!
Their variety of ice creams is fantastic, even seeing lactose free options. Everything from Maple Walnut, sherbets, bubblegum and pistachio. This trip we ordered a baby size ($3.60) chocolate mint (classic and good) and rocket fuel (similar to bubblegum in taste but maybe a bit more grape tasting); they were just the right size for the kids. And we also ordered single scoops ($5.15) of the wild spicy chocolate and churro (this was my top fav that we ordered, it was the hardest/coldest one so it didn’t melt quite as fast either, but the Flavor was super unique and I love that spicy hit you get) and the pineapple sherbet( very refreshing and light, perfect for a hot summer day).
The ice cream was really soft and seemed to melt extremely fast, wishing it was a bit colder/harder. But after knowing that I recommend you find a seat and eat it right after you order it.
Service was fast, we didn’t have to wait long to order and the staff were good about double checking flavor choices. Handing us each cone as they scooped it.
These places also sell a variety of floating devices for some good lake time and Sylvan Lake memorabilia. Parking in Sylvan Lake is all pretty much payment required unless you park a few blocks away.

Tons of flavors! I wish it was a little cleaner but they are understandably busy.

We ordered one baby cup and one regular cup. The serving is more on the baby cup than the regular one. These people don't know how to scoop ice cream. Not worth the 5 dollars if youre scooping less than 1 serving.

Excited for the ice cream....we bought 2 scoop for each of us the first scoop is right amount then they cheap out for the scoop...got easily melted the second scoop have to use my finger to shape it because it was not scoop right...

When I go to Sylvan Lake I always seem to stop for ice cream here. There is a huge selection. The also sell other food and items such as water floating animals and swimwear. Parking is always challenging.

A Sylvan Lake classic with a huge selection of ice cream. The gluten free and dairy free options are clearly labeled. And if you aren't feeling like hard ice cream, they have slushies and screamers (slushee + soft serve) available.

Delicious.

Great ice cream but not cheap as a seasonal business. Great servers who will give you a sample if you aren't sure. About a block away is the original Moo which also has lineups. Quality ice cream.
