We went here for dinner for the first time yesterday.

First off food was really good!
My husband got the mushroom and Swiss burger and it was fantastic, the patty was seasoned nice, and had a nice crunchy sear to the outside, fries were meh and entirely way too many fries, which I don't think I've ever said before.

I had the beef dip and it was really good. The pretzel bun was super yummy and the beef was cooked well. The aujous was decent, I've had better, but I've also had much worse....it comes down to, would I order it again? And yes, I would - but I'd probably ask for a different side besides fries.

Kids had a grilled cheese and chicken fingers - my little one has autism so eating is tricky. The chicken was a bit overdone and darker (borderline burnt) than he's used to, it took some convincing but he eventually did eat it. If it had been more expensive I probably would have asked for it to be redone, because they were even too done for me.

The atmosphere was far from desirable, you can tell it's been around for a while, still had posters up for COVID and had makeshift plastic barriers between the booths. The booths were a bit dingy looking, but the tables were at least clean.
Menus are huge with lots of options. However, the physical menu is quite frankly gross and needs to be cleaned or redone in general.
There's also people smoking right outside the entrance so that's never welcoming.

Staff was friendly, however not the most attentive, especially considering there wasn't that many customers.

If I based my future visit only on atmosphere, I wouldn't go back....however, foodwise - I'd give it another go.

Fran provided brilliant service. We just had time for a beef dip with fries and a Roundabout burger with house salad. The food was elevated. A cut above.

We pulled into sylvan and saw the restaurant came in to let the kiddo use the bathroom and my husband wanted food to go. After letting my little use the washroom I was on the way out to take him to the car to come back to order. When we don’t get a hello we don’t get can I help you nothing! We get only paying customer are suppose to use our bathroom. Great customer service!! NOT Needless to say I return the respect back letting them know he was 4 and that we couldn’t wait. The walking over to the door decided to drive down the street and ordered to go. We will never support or be back your service sucked and approach to customer needs work!

Came in for a warm meal after a cold ride on the bike.

First impression on walking in was "wow this place is busy" I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get a table but to my surprise I was greeted immediately by the hostess who said she had a table ready !!!

Walking through the building listening to the friendly banter of the patrons and plenty of laughs from various tables really gave me the feeling of a hometown type spot.

As I got seated I was promptly introduced to my server (Melissa) who was all smiles and even though I could tell she was slammed busy she was still bubbly and had a heap of pep in her step.

I ordered the Moroccan chicken salad with a starter bowl of the daily soup ( steak & mushroom 🍄)

Firstly the soup!!! My word it was divine. Coming from a culinary background in my younger years I like to think I've got a pretty robust palette and it was firing on all cylinders.

The salad followed closed behind and visually it had my stomach begging to eat it.

It did not disappoint. Moroccan seasoning can be very finicky and easily over bearing but it was paired along with a beautiful house dressing on a bed of spring mix and seasonal veg that it was PERFECTLY balanced.

During the course of my meal I got to watch what I know now to be the only server in the entire restaurant engage with patrons and even though she was tending to not just a full house but also helping the hostess with telephone orders she not once showed any signs of not being a complete professional and taking care of customers I'm every way possible all with a smile and a touch of industry banter!

Well done Melissa and all the BOH staff and hostess.

💯 will be back

Honestly hate leaving bad reviews but save your money and support elsewhere. We gave these guys a third chance and wish we didn’t. We tried their Sunday buffet today for $23 a person. We walked in to very little food in the warm food area of the buffet at 10 am. When it was slowly reloaded it was a few items here and there and the taste was just not enjoyable. The bacon was awful, I don’t know how you screw bacon up, scallop potatoes just had such an undesirable taste we couldn’t eat them. The pastries were stale like they were sitting out for a day. We didn’t get our drinks, water and coffee, until we were about to get up to leave. Service was awful, food awful even the fruit was not fit to eat. No more chances Roundabout.

I figured it's time to update my review since I just finished my last shift after working here for the past 3.5 years. The owners, Tim and Ting are both such wonderful, beautiful, hard-working people and are absolute gems to work for and to know. The other chefs and kitchen staff also consistently put out the most delicious, high quality, homemade food. I am not even being biased when I say that absolutely every item I've tried on the menu (which is most of it 😁) has been divine and truly tastes like it's made with love. My favorite person to work with and have serve me when I come in is Claudine. She is a lovely person, inside and out, has a gift to make everyone she encounters feel special and heard. She has a big personality and an even bigger heart and I really grew to love her like a sister. That being said, all the serving and kitchen staff I've worked with here are truly awesome people and I will surely miss them. Anytime I'm in the area this is for sure my go to place for a perfect meal and good company with all the wonderful customers that frequent as well. Thank you for everything guys!
