I ordered a birthday cake. The baker’s willingness to do the cake, and decorate it the way I wanted, for a reasonable price, was great. However, the cake was a disappointment. The cake and the buttercream icing were heavy and dry. The buttercream was salty and the cake was dense. The decorating seemed amateurish and unimpressive even though I paid a little extra for more piping.

I always try to support local cafes instead of heading to big chains like Tim Hortons or Starbucks. Busy Bee Bake Shopee is a hidden gem with a charming small town vibe. They offer a great selection of coffee and freshly baked goods, and uniquely, they produce their own honey and honey based products. The patio adds a nice touch for a relaxed visit.
The staff were fantastic, friendly, smiling the entire time, and incredibly helpful, which made the experience even better. One of them even took the time to share which syrup she was using in the drink. Definitely worth a stop if you're heading to Drumheller.

Love this place. Have to get my mandatory monday coffee here. Very personable. Great tasting specialty coffees. Reasonable prices. Baking is delish. Everything is always fresh. They love to put on seasonal baking trays which are great gift ideas along with all the interesting gift ideas displayed.
