The food was amazing but I definitely would have liked to have rice as an included side rather than having to order it separately. It increases the cost too much to return regularly. I want to try more on the menu but it will have to wait as I cannot afford $30 a meal so often.

Service was not good, I couldn’t believe it…we were the only people there. The phone didn’t ring and no one else came in. They brought our food and more water and then disappeared. We finished and sat for a very long time. It wasn’t until my friend went to the bathroom and the door slammed that someone came to check on us. I asked for take out box for my friend, it was brought then they disappeared again. We went up to the front and had the woman not walked by and seen us standing there we would have waited again to pay.

We have been wanting to visit this new restaurant since it opened a few months ago. Tonight we went there for a late supper (around 7 PM). We were a little unsure when we arrived and there were no cars in the parking lot - it was a Monday night after all
.
I really like Indian foods, I make a pretty decent Butter chicken (from scratch), and we have had Indian food many times, so we were a bit skeptical at first; but this place was a pleasant surprise.

The restaurant was well lit, and nicely decorated, with some nice Indian music playing in the background.

The menu was huge with so many choices. We ordered one of their combo samplers to share (#2 - with Butter Chicken, Chickpea curry, rice, and Nan). We did not think that this would be enough so we ordered two appetizers - Veggie Pakora, Samosa Chatt, and some garlic nan.

When the appetizers arrived we were supersized by how much food there was, and how quick it was - since it was all freshly made. The Veggie Parkoras were nicely done with a light breading and cooked to perfection, and served with a tasty yogourt & mint dip and a red dip. Very tasty and crunchy. The Samosa Chatt was beautifully presented and a huge serving in a large bowl. The dish was delicious with great flavours and wonderful textures - crunchy Samosas bit of onion, soft potatoes and chickpeas, all smothered in a delicious creamy yogourt sauce. We could not get enough of this sauce, it was great on the Nan (when it arrived with the main sampler platter). Such a delicious dish. We held off finishing the appetizers until after the main was on the table.

The sampler platter was 2 small bowls of butter chicken and chick pea curry, served with rice, onions, and 2 pieces of nan. Now, before I tell you about the dishes, let me tell you about the nan. It was amazing!!. I have never had better nan than this. It was freshly made on the premises and was quite obviously made on a tradition tandori clay oven. The nan was tasty, thick, chewy, and slightly charred from the oven. Perfect! The regular nan was good but the garlic nan was amazing. So good, and tasty with the other dishes. My only complaint was that we we would have loved to have the nan earlier to enjoy with the appetizers.

The sampler portions of Butter Chicken and chickpea curry were small but adequate. The Butter chicken was creamy and delicious, with deep red-orange chicken that was so tender and tasty. This was the best Butter chicken that I have had in a very long time. Great taste and texture. The Chickpea curry was good, but our least favourite of the dishes from tonight. The flavour of the curry was rich and complex, but the texture of the overall dish was lacking texture. I would have liked a bit of crunch to go with the soft chickpeas.

We did not manage to finish it all and went home with some of the veggie pakora, Samosa Chatt, and some nan (for a tasty lunch).

Our server (one of the owners) was pleasant and helpful and when we got to chatting with her after the meal it was great to meet her and talk about the food.

I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who like tasty and authentic Indian ethnic foods. They serve the foods with several levels of spice (warmth) so you can ease into the spice of you are new to Indian foods. We will definitely going back to try some different dishes and tastes.

Please support this great new restaurant.

Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian options available.

Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is fairly good for wheelchair access (my wife uses a wheelchair), although I did not check both restrooms. However, there is a small lift up from the gravel parking lot to the concrete sidewalk around the front of the building. A small rubber ramp would help greatly improve the access.
