Today was the third time I have been at the golf course for lunch.
The other times were good and we had reasonably pleasant excellent service, today, however was a different story.
My daughter and I went for lunch, when we arrived a couple of the staff were eating at a table and acted like we should not be there disturbing their lunch. We checked on the time they opened and they said 11 am, we arrived at roughly 11:30 so it should not have been a problem.
we seated ourselves and someone did come reasonably soon to serve us.
I had chicken wings which were good, my daughter had soup and beef dip.
We also had a class of wine each. The wine was not particularly good but you get what you get when you are not ordering off a wine menu.
The problem arrived when we asked for a bill and were told rather abruptly that we had to go to the counter to pay. OK, not really a problem except for the manner that the info was delivered. As I was paying the bill, I mentioned that the beef in the dip was very dry. The answer I got (sarcastically) was that is why it is served with au jus. I had already added a 20% tip and at that moment wanted to take it back. At that time, I did mention that we would have to think twice about returning - not because of the food - but because of the attitude.
As we were leaving, my daughter saw the manager so went to talk to her about the staff's attitude. As my daughter was talking, she stood there smiling and nodding her head and said something like she would have to see but not really considering what was being said. I guess the attitude comes from the top. As a note, my daughter has been wait staff or manager at some very high restaurants most of her life. That attitude would never have been tolerated at any of them.
It is hard to explain how we were made to feel from the time entering until leaving without sounding like complainers. That is not who we are but I could not let this go.

Stopped in after work, had a burger. And fries.. Yeah, they did a great job. It was really good. You can sit outside on the patio which is a great feature. Stop in if you're in town

This is supposed to be a family friendly golf course who allows amateur golfers. Imagine our surprise when the course marshal drove up to us and said they had a couple of phone complaints saying 3 of us were riding in one golf cart. We are 2 parents and a daughter and it was Wednesday afternoon. Apparently some people think it’s ok to lie about and abuse people on the course in front of them because they aren’t great golfers and I guess the anonymous people who phoned the pro shop believe they shouldn’t have to wait their turn because they own the place and are too important to have to wait
There were 3 of us with only 1 golf cart but 1 of us was always walking. To whoever you are: you totally ruined our day and our daughter was crying because all we wanted to do was spend a couple of hours together. I’m sorry if you are so important that you have no time to enjoy a beautiful day and your family. We were going to have lunch there as we have enjoyed numerous suppers there but we will never set foot in there again. I will also let all my friends know. Thanks again for ruining our day
