The veal chop is the best I have ever had and I eat meat as the rule not the exception. Excellent food around. Best in town.

Visited in the off-season and staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was okay. The calamari with spicy tomato dip was very good. Family enjoyed the food as well.

Awesome experience at the Red Rock Trattoria. It’s one of the best parts of our weekend stay at the Park this year. Love the ambience (and the view), love the food (we’ve got the calamari fritti for apps, it’s too yummy that I forgot to take a photo lol; and chicken parm & seafood fettuccine for mains; I’ll surely order two calamari next time for sure). And most of all, thank you Lexie for your amazing customer service. You’re great at what you do. Keep it up. Overall, we had great time at the restaurant. Thanks for the warm hospitality. 👏🏼🎉Make sure to visit Red Rock Trattoria when you’re at the park.

We stayed at Waterton Glacier Suites and decided to head down to this restaurant on our second night. Cozy atmosphere , Lizzie was great Food was excellent. My wife had the spaghetti and meatballs , Caesar Salad and I had the Wagyu Ravioli which was awesome. Dessert was Tiramisu , which was awesome. Compliments to the chef. Definitely will be back.

Lexie made our whole experience! She was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful—it honestly felt like being taken care of by a friend.
Her food recommendations were spot on—everything we had was amazing, including the drinks. Even though it was the off-season, this place exceeded expectations.
We’ll 100% be coming back. Highly recommend!

Good ambience, good wine and excellent service by Lexi.

The food was good, but we found that the pasta got lost in a sea of rich sauce, which took away the essence of the pasta. If they could measure the ratio of pasta to sauce better, the plate would have been a 10/10. The restaurant is too pricey.

Minestrone soup was thick pasta sauce with some raw spinach and penne noodles thrown in. Argh. Service very slow. Server was lovely

Exploring the local food was just as amazing as exploring the mountains. Wonderful food and impeccable service. Nick and other staff were incredibly helpful with recommendations from the plate to the mountain paths. A must stop spot anytime we come through in the future.

One of the best parts about staying in a little mountain town for a few days is getting to explore the local food scene—and this place quickly became the highlight of our trip. From the moment we walked in, it had that cozy, small-town Italian charm that makes you want to linger over dinner and order “just one more thing.”

The food was incredible. Every dish tasted like it came straight out of a nonna’s kitchen—rich, comforting, and clearly made with a lot of love. It was the kind of meal where everyone at the table keeps saying, “You have to try this.”

And then there’s Nick. Nick didn’t just serve our table—he elevated the entire experience. Friendly, funny, and somehow always appearing exactly when we needed something, he made the night feel relaxed and fun. At this point I’m convinced he has a sixth sense for when we needed a water refill.

Great food, cozy mountain-town vibes, and top-tier service from Nick. If you’re staying in town for a few days, do yourself a favor and make this spot part of your plans—you’ll leave full, happy, and grateful Nick was there!

Over priced, under whelmed, this is probably the worse establishment for food in waterton.
Portion sizes are a joke. The food was mediocre at best , real Italians would rip this place apart.

Went to dinner thinking the sous chef was in the kitchen, however was met with great disappointment that the food was close to inedible. After a 3 course meal my partner and I were met with major digestive issues. No meal was what it was described and over salted. The only thing that made the experience worth it was Nick our server.

Beautiful restaurant. AMAZING food. Excellent service.

It is open during the quiet winter months (while most of the town is shut down) Waterton is beautiful in the snow, so we stayed a couple nights and ate here both nights because it was so good. We ordered different dishes each night, and each one made us want to savour every bite.

Highly recommend...in the quiet off-season, or the busy summer season.
