Vimy's Lounge and Grill

I really wanted to like this place and although our breakfast was fresh and tasty, the service was very very slow. Not sure if this is the norm or just a late season issue. From the time we sat down to the time that we received our meal it was close to 1 hour. One other issue that I noticed is that even getting refills of our coffee was lengthy so that was a little bit disappointing. The advantage of this location is if you are staying in the hotel, it's nice and close. However, I do have concerns about the wait times and service overall.

Terrible food and worse service. Nice views but that’s all.

The sign said wait to be seated but the server/bartender continuously ignored people, including us, waiting to be sat. The poutine was lackluster due to the gravy being subpar; don’t expect delicious Canadian poutine from this place. Our main dishes took easily 20 minutes to come out after ordering. Husband ordered a bison burger which he described as “meh, it was an average burger.” I ordered chicken pita, which came completely messed up, to the point I sent it back and didn’t order another meal because I didn’t care to wait even longer for food at that point. The chicken pita came with two halves of a chicken breast (never had a pita that didn’t have shredded chicken and just came with chicken breasts in it); it didn’t have tatziki which it should’ve had; it didn’t have feta and when I tried to ask for it I was brought three gigantic cubes (not something you can easily put on a pita sandwich); and it came with pickles which were never advertised and do not go on pitas.

The waitress was the bartender and she was honestly one of the worst servers I’ve ever had, and seemed inconvenienced by doing her job. I used to serve myself so I am more lenient and understanding of what goes on backend but this experience was just awful and wasted at least an hour of our time.

10/10 do not recommend going.

Nice restaurant with big windows that had a group of deer come by outside. However the steak I ordered was well done instead of rare and there were onions covering it despite a request for no onions. My wife's salmon burger was good.

The food here has been outstanding, the service was great when I arrived today, then non-existent after the original server left due to being on a split shift. The first server was friendly, outgoing, and great at her job. The second server spent most of her time entertaining one customer at the bar who appeared to be an off duty employee. When a hotel guest came in looking for ice (the sole ice machine for the hotel was out of service) she told her to go ask the front desk staff. The woman explained that they had just sent her to the restaurant for ice. The bartender doubled down, and refused to get her ice. Based on the line of people waiting to check in vs the handful of tables in the restaurant at that time, it was completely uncalled for. Especially since the original server had just returned for her split shift to help in the restaurant.

The food, on the other hand, was outstanding. 10 stars on the food, and 10 stars on the service from server #1.

Great food and great service. I had salmon pita and my partner ordered the daily soup + flatbread. Everything tasted great and the young lady server at lunch time today (sorry dont know your name) was very friendly!

Food was great, loved the tofu sandwich, happy to have some vegetarian options at a nice place. Partner loved his burger too. Service was above and beyond :)

I ordered the sandwich with 6 oz stake, unfortunately got half of sandwich with half stake portion. The portion was small and tough to chew.

Lovely knotty pine. Clean and fresh. Food excellent. Great place to hang out on a rainy day in Waterton National Park. It's also the pedestrian block. Great views of the surrounding mountains.

This quaint little eatery achieved the rare feat of burning our food while also serving it cold. The kids' menu pasta turned out to be oily and flavorless, and not a single apology was made and we ended up paying the full price for food that was barely edible.

We went for breakfast and the service was excellent ! The eggs Benedict not too good had to send back and get new order as was cold ! Didn’t have real breakfast potatoes and used French fries style not great ! My husband liked his omelette!

My husband and I ate here many times during our week in waterton. Good breakfast and dinner options. They were never busy when we ate and always had nice servers.

Me and my husband went there for brunch today and loved our dine in experience❤️ We were struggling to find vegetarian food options in Waterton and decided to come here after checking the menu online and Thank God we did. I mean Restaurant was not even Indian and they served better Butter Paneer Masala bowl with softest naan ever! Tofu Sandwich with side fries was so good in both quantity and taste.
