I really wanted to like this place and although our breakfast was fresh and tasty, the service was very very slow. Not sure if this is the norm or just a late season issue. From the time we sat down to the time that we received our meal it was close to 1 hour. One other issue that I noticed is that even getting refills of our coffee was lengthy so that was a little bit disappointing. Nice restaurant with big windows that had a group of deer come by outside. However the steak I ordered was well done instead of rare and there were onions covering it despite a request for no onions. My wife's salmon burger was good.
The food here has been outstanding, the service was great when I arrived today, then non-existent after the original server left due to being on a split shift. The first server was friendly, outgoing, and great at her job. The second server spent most of her time entertaining one customer at the bar who appeared to be an off duty employee. When a hotel guest came in looking for ice (the sole ice machine for the hotel was out of service) she told her to go ask the front desk...
