Chef N' Pigeon Lake Reviews
Ive never sent my food back at a resteraunt until eating here. Was sat at a filthy table, was brought a glass of iced tea and it was covered in white goo on the outside because someone didn't wash their hands. Then the food. My fiance ordered a medium steak and was brought a rare steak that was burned on the outside and pink all the way through. I ordered the fish and chips and it was a thin piece frozen fish with the skin left on and severely overbattered and overcooked- along...read full review
New Year’s Eve dinner was a solid zero. Spare ribs were dry, polenta was not even close to being polenta. So disappointing
Horrible experience
Firstly I want to say. Our waitress was wonderful. Our food was just ok. What made this a horrible experience was the owner that made an inappropriate comment after we requested to watch the Oilers /Flames game. He loudly responded what channel game do you want to watch,Chinese hockey? As he laughed out loud to himself. He was obviously intoxicated. Chef N' Pigeon Lake is a charming restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience. The service is excellent, with friendly staff who make guests feel warm and welcome. The restaurant has maintained a fresh, attractive appearance, making it a lovely stop for diners. The meals, including the brisket sandwiches, burgers, Ukrainian Perogy Dinner, and Hot Turkey sandwich, are delicious, served hot and tasty. The Hot Turkey sandwich is especially praised for its chunky turkey, tasty gravy, and coleslaw on a stuffing waffle. The Big Bird Clubhouse also impresses with its fantastic sourdough bread. Customers have noted that the food was absolutely delicious and offered good portions for the price, despite being slightly more expensive. The beef brisket dip stands out as one of the best ever, with the smoked beef brisket so tender and flavorful that dipping into the gravy is optional, though it elevates the sandwich. Desserts like toffee pudding and baked apple pie with vanilla ice cream are highly recommended and considered incredible. The atmosphere is quiet, especially on late fall evenings, and the restaurant focuses on quality options with the freshest ingredients. It is accommodating for various dietary restrictions and allergies, making it a welcoming spot. With its small-town charm, fair prices, and satisfying food, Chef N' Pigeon Lake remains a hidden treasure worth revisiting, especially for those heading out to the lake.
